Description
There is a room available in our house in Battersea, since one of our housemates has had to move away for work. We are looking to fill this ASAP, since it's available now :)
The room is on it's own floor of the house, has an en-suite bathroom, and is furnished.
**The landlord is currently looking to sell the house, so we will probably move out in 3/4 months **
The house is on a quiet, residential road, just off Battersea Park Rd which has lots of bars, restaurants, and shops! Clapham Junction Station is a 10-minute walk away (9-minute train to Victoria, 9-minute train to Waterloo, 5-minute train to Vauxhall).
Ideally looking for people who want to be friends rather than just housemates, even for this short period.
Someone clean and tidy would be great since this will hopefully be a homely, "shoes off" kind of house 🫧.
About me:
I'm Jai, 27 years old, and have recently moved back home to the UK from Amsterdam, where I have lived for the past couple of years (i'm from Manchester originally).
I love being around people, so I spend a lot of my spare time with friends. Otherwise, I enjoy watching/playing sports
practicing yoga, and exploring new things.
As a housemate, I'm very easygoing. Having a clean environment is really important to me, so I'm very proactive when it comes to that!
There's also a few lines about the other housemates here:
Mike:
Mike is a close friend of mine from Manchester, and it is his room that the new roommate will be taking over.
Like with myself, a lot of Mike's spare time is spent playing and watching sports. He's a huge Leeds United fan, so he often travels up North to catch the games on weekends.
Unfortunately, he has now had to relocate to Wales to continue his work as a specialist doctor.
Big shoes to fill!
Gaby:
Gaby is Mike's sister, she has recently moved into the house to replace our friend Ella who has left. Gaby has lived in many areas across London, but never this one, so is excited to settle into a new neighbourhood. She's super nice and sociable, and we're excited for the great vibes she'll be bringing in.
Bec:
Bec is from Canberra, Australia and works in a Software Development Consulting role. After travelling through Europe, she decided to take the plunge and move across the world to London.
Bec makes great use of SW London's green spaces, and can often be found running in Battersea Park, or practicing yoga or pilates (of which she is a qualified teacher). As a social butterfly, she finds it hard to say no to an after work drink, so she's often spotted unwinding in the pubs and bars around Liverpool Street after work.
