Cosy Double Room in Battersea ✨

My flatmate is moving in with their partner so we are looking for someone to sign on from the beginning of October to our 2-bed 1-bath flat. He is my best friend so ideally looking for someone who can also be a friend as well as a flatmate!

It’s a 10-minute walk to Clapham Junction and a 2-minute walk to the lovely Thames, with lots of good bus links to the centre and a big Sainsburys and Lidl within walking distance. The room is £925 without bills (£90-100 a month).

THE FLAT/ROOM
Furnished double room with a clothes rail and large chest of drawers. It’s on the smaller side so would be ideal for someone who does minimal WFH or who doesn’t mind working from the living room 1-2 days a week. Super light with a lovely bay window, very cosy in the winter. Good sized kitchen for two people and a bright, light living room with large dining table, ideal for hosting! 🥂

The block comes with a lift, roof terrace and gym (the gym is terrible but it does exist!), and communal laundry room with washing and drying. It’s also very safe as we’re on the third floor and share a locked corridor with another flat opposite.

Our landlord Will lives in Australia so he’s basically never here which is nice, but is quite responsive to fixes / replacements when we need them.

ABOUT ME

I’m 24 and work for the civil service on the fast stream grad scheme. I like reading, film, yoga (very much an amateur but I do it in the living room on my mat most days!!), walking in and around London, and a night out everyone once in a while. My partner also lives in London so I typically spend 1-2 nights a week at his and vice versa. My current job is very intense so I spend most weekday evenings at the flat, but I’ll be going into something with more work/life balance in October so will likely be out and about with friends in the area more in the future 👯‍♀️

ABOUT YOU
Open to men and women (and LGBT+ friendly) but would prefer to live with another girl, ideally the same age as me (22-26). It’s not a party house but I do drink and don’t mind if others do! Ideally you would work mostly from the office and have your own social things going on, but I do want to be friends with my flatmate - communal dinners, coffee trips, or a crisp pint after a long day of work 🍺
