Description

Hi, we’re Es (they/them) and Kat (she/her) and our current housemate is off on a new adventure, which means that we have a spare room going in our lovely flat in Battersea! We’re hoping to find a fellow young professional to live with (*women/NB and LGBTQ-friendly*). Our current house vibe is very much a little family dynamic, so we’re really keen to find someone who wants a home and not just a bed to sleep in. We like cooking joint house meals when everyone is around, as well as the occasional dinner out / pub trip / club night / house party. We’ve lived here for the past two years and we love it. The location is great - there’s a Tesco and a post office within a 5-10 minute walk, and we’re near Battersea Park which is gorgeous for a run / just to hang out in.

A bit about us:
Es (27): I work in finance but in my spare time I play bass in a band, and am generally a big music lover - I go to a lot of gigs and am a particular fan of sad sapphic pop club nights and queer comedy.

Kat (25): I work in finance and am probably equal parts club rat and bookworm. I also play lacrosse and love a gym sesh so am often up early and/or out on the weekend.

Some details about the place:
One double room available to rent in a shared flat in Battersea. The room technically comes unfurnished however our current housemate is keen to sell her furniture (pictured), so we can definitely sort something out with her if you need a furnished room. The room itself is on the smaller side, however the desk in the living room would be yours if you wanted, and there is a huge wardrobe with plenty of storage space. The room also comes with a parking space in a private gated car park, as well as outdoor bike racks. The flat has a fully functional and modern kitchen (with fridge, freezer, microwave, coffee machine, washing machine, etc), as well as a shared living area (with TV, xbox and switch) and a lovely little balcony plus access to a communal garden (great for picnics and barbecues). Bathroom would be shared with just one other person (Es).

Transport:
Plenty of buses nearby, including a bus stop right across the road where the 170 will get you into Victoria in 15 mins. Alternatively it’s a 15-20 min walk to Clapham Junction which has great Overground / National Rail connections.

Prices:
£830 pcm, not including bills.
All household bills plus council tax (band E) put together are usually around £100, but slightly more in winter when the heating's on more, though the flat is naturally very warm.

Availability:
The room will be available from early November (but there is potential for some flexibility)

If you want any more info or some more photos, please get in touch and we’ll be happy to answer any questions / arrange a viewing!
