I have a double room available from 1 September in a modern two bedroom, two bathroom, split level flat located in Battersea (close to Clapham Junction station).
The room is a decent size which fits a double bed, desk, cabinet, and has a built in wardrobe. The room is unfurnished however my housemate who is leaving back to Aus may be able to provide some furniture (bed, desk) for a good price if required. You will also have the main bathroom to yourself which is right next to the bedroom.
The rest of the flat is fully furnished with an open kitchen and shared dining / lounge area. It is really well set out with your bedroom and bathroom being on first floor, lounge room and kitchen in the middle, and my bedroom on the top floor. It also has a cute little terrace perfect for having a morning coffee or vino!
The flat is situated in an excellent location, 7 minutes walk from Clapham Junction station, 2 minutes from Asda/Lidl, 10 mins Clapham Common station, and 15 mins to Battersea Park.
You will be sharing with me, Michael, 33 year old South African. I work in Legal and in the office twice a week, rest is work from home. I am a good mix of social: having people over or going out & then also a chilled night in. Enjoy going to my gym classes & run club, travelling, and doing fun things!
I am looking for someone who is friendly and happy to have a house mate relationship turn into a friendship. Cleanliness and respectfulness is important.
The rent is £1275 a month + bills (approx £150 which inc. council taxes, gas, electricity + internet. These bills of course have standard annual increases from the service providers). The deposit is £1275.
Will need to swap you and my current house mate out on the lease. At the same time, will be asking the landlord to extend the current lease so that it will run for us both until 31 January 2027.
Some logistics. Our rent is due by 21st of each month but bills are due beginning of month. To not have to worry, we pay everything into a bank account we have in my name by 1st of month as debit orders run from there. So current house mate will pay prorata for 21 Aug - 7 Aug, with you paying prorata for 8 Sep - 20 Sept directly to current housemate, and obviously then 100% thereafter.
