Description
Hi!
I’m looking for someone to take over my flatmate’s room in our two-bed flat on Queenstown Road, SW8, from around mid-July / 15 July.
The room is the larger bedroom in the flat. It has two windows, wooden floors, built-in storage across one wall, and plenty of space for a proper work-from-home setup. My flatmate currently has a long corner desk in there, so it works really well if you need space for a monitor / laptop setup.
The flat has two bedrooms, one bathroom, a separate living room, kitchen and balcony. Because it’s only a two-person flat, it feels more like a home than a busy house share. We’ve made it cosy and comfortable, with plenty of plants, a bright living room with doors out to the balcony, and a kitchen with good storage and worktop space.
Rent is £1,250 pcm, excluding bills. Bills are usually around £130-£150 each per month, depending on energy use and season. That includes council tax, water, internet and energy. Council tax is Band D.
The location is handy for Queenstown Road, Battersea Park and Wandsworth Road stations, with Clapham Common, Battersea Power Station, Lavender Hill and Battersea Park all within reach. There are good bus links nearby too, so it works well for getting around south-west and central London.
You’d be living with me, Miguel. I’m 26, work in science communications, and I’m usually in the office a couple of days a week. I’m friendly and like a chat, film night or occasional dinner, but also really value a calm home and people having their own space. I’m looking for someone considerate, clean and easy-going, ideally another working professional who is happy to share a simple cleaning routine and keep the flat feeling nice.
Important household detail: I’m very much a lamps / small lights person over the big light, iykyk. I’m also planning to set up some herb planters on the balcony so we can use them for cooking.
This would be a formal change of sharer through our landlord, subject to references, Right to Rent checks, landlord approval and completion of the required documents.
If you’re interested, send me a bit about yourself, and what you’re looking for in a flatshare :)
