I'm Catrin and I co-own a gorgeous two-bedroom flat in Battersea with my sister and I'm looking to rent out the second room. I currently live here, ideally looking for a female housemate but open to anyone if the vibes are right! You'd preferably be in your early to mid-30s, and the room is available from the beginning of January 2026.
A bit about the flat and the room:
-Two bedrooms
-One bathroom (bath over shower, sink, mirror storage, towel heater, WC)
-Utility room (washing machine, two available drawers for your bedding/towels/shoes, hanging rail for coats)
-Open-plan kitchen, dining, and living space (Fridge, freezer, slimline dishwasher, air fryer, coffee pod machine, oven, four ring electric hob, large dining table with bench and three chairs, additional chairs available, corner sofa, coffee table, large tv and shelving)
-Two balconies (one overlooking the communal gardens with small sofa, chairs and coffee table, larger balcony consists of outdoor dining table and four chairs and one sun lounger plus a few plants I try to keep alive!)
-Secure Bike storage
The available room is the slightly larger of the two and comes with a king-size bed and bespoke, floor-to-ceiling built-in wardrobes with mirrors. My sister and I moved into the flat just over six years ago when it was newly built. The location is amazing – just a stone's throw from Battersea Park (literally a 2 minute walk!) and about a 5 minute walk from the Power Station.
Transport links:
-Nearest tube: Battersea Power Station (Northern Line) – around a 10-minute walk
-Sloane Square (Circle and District Lines) – about a 16-17 minute walk
-Battersea Park station – 6-minute walk
-Queenstown Road station – 7-minute walk
-Bus stops right outside the building (137, 452, 44, and 211)
Nearby gyms:
-F45 (at the base of the building)
-District Battersea CrossFit, BFT Battersea, and -Circle8 Fitness (less than a minute’s walk)
-The Gym Group (2 minutes’ walk)
-Third Space Battersea (in the Power Station, 8-10 minutes’ walk)
Local amenities:
You’re spoiled for choice with restaurants and coffee spots around here! Tesco and Sainsbury’s are nearby, and there's also a Shell garage which stocks Waitrose products that is currently being refurbished and is due to reopen again in January. Majestic Wine is right on our doorstep 😊
What I'm looking for:
I'm looking for someone who will treat the room and flat as their own and take pride in keeping things clean and tidy. It’s a place for relaxation but also great for hosting dinners and drinks. I'm looking for a hybrid or full-time professional who works from the office.
A bit about me (your future flatmate!):
I'm a sustainability manager, love the gym, am a real foodie, enjoy running, aerial arts, dancing, cycling, and hiking, and I'm always up for trying out new activities. I love to cook and share a dinner and some wine every now again if you fancy, and I LOVE a good ITV drama to get stuck into. I am also an absolute sucker for a good floor lamp and avoid the Big Light wherever possible.
Business details:
-Rent: £1,750 per month (all bills included). This covers rent, council tax, heating, hot water, gas and electricity, internet, and TV licence.
-Does not include communal items like toilet paper, dishwasher tablets, cleaning products, etc.
-This price is based on our previous monthly expenditure. Should there be any significant increase in costs, I’ll review, but I don’t expect it to rise much more.
-Term: Long let
-Break clause (for both parties): 2 months’ notice after 4 months, although we’re open to discussion in exceptional circumstances.
-Deposit: 5 weeks' rent = £2,019.23
-Move-in date: Any time from January onwards
