Description
Combining the beauty of a Victorian terrace with modern luxury, right next to the stunning Battersea Park and within walking distance of Battersea Power Station Tube and Clapham Junction Overground, this enormous five-storey house is equipped with all modern conveniences, a large kitchen/dining room, multiple shared living rooms, a garden, a utility room, and even a cinema room!
There is a lovely ensuite double room available. It is a bright, quiet space with a bay sash window, full of beautiful solid wood furniture - a double bed, a bedside table, a chest of drawers, and a desk. There is also under-bed storage and a built-in wardrobe. The gorgeous ensuite bathroom has a bath and separate walk-in shower.
This room has become available as housemate Liam travels back home to Australia week commencing 17th November for a few months. The exact date of his return is flexible, but it is likely to be the middle of March.
I've had housemates my whole life, and I'm at my happiest when sharing this incredible house with others.
I care passionately about the quality of experience that you'll have living here, and the rooms have been wonderfully furnished with that in mind. As a live-in landlord, I’m also on hand to address and put right any concerns you might have, and to help you feel at home, especially if this is your first time in London.
I am a pianist and psychotherapist. I combine working from home with travelling to give concerts.
I’m easygoing and have no particular requirements from housemates, other than being tidy and respectful of others. So if you're up for cooking up a storm, a drink or two in the evenings, board games or pub quizzes, or just generally chilling out, then great. Similarly, if you prefer to keep more to yourself, that's fine too - the main thing is that you enjoy your time living here. The house is so large that there is plenty of space for everyone to satisfy their social and solitary needs.
The house is on a quiet street and backs onto a private road, so is both very safe and peaceful. There is car and motorbike parking (residents permits easily available) on the road at the front of the house.
Gas, water and electricity are not included in the price as we believe in taking responsibility for our energy usage. However, splitting this seven ways helps keep the costs down.
Broadband, council tax and a cleaner for communal areas ARE included in the rent.
Currently living here are:
JP, from the UK, who works as a concert pianist, piano teacher and psychotherapist.
Gabi, from Poland, who works as an artist and art teacher.
Lucie, from Germany, who works as a production manager.
Maddy, from Australia, who works in theatre.
Amy, from the UK, who works in banking.
Alex, from the UK, who works in sales.
The final members of our family are a couple of cats - Tesla and Tinto - who are a constant joy!
We'd love you to come and take a look at this amazing house, so don't hesitate to get in touch - the place looks even better in person, and it would be great to meet you!
Hope to hear from you soon, and all the very best,
JP
