Hi all,
I've posted in this group before and had many lovely people come live at our house and its that time again when we are out looking for some new lovely people to live with in east London (E6).
We are a LGBTQ+ friendly home offering contracts for lodgers. We’ve had lodgers ever since we've owned the home dating back to 2014! Sadly one of our two long term lodgers after two years has had to move back home out of London and we are looking for a friendly, tidy and sociable housemate to join the house! My wife and are are both performers, we own the home so any issues are sorted very quickly. I (Rob) work in television production now and my wife (Sam) is a burlesque artist. Our current lodger (Joe) who will be staying is a young performer, actor-singer-dancer all of us are very friendly and welcoming.
Unfortunately we have no wheelchair access to the bedrooms due to it being a family home rather than a flat and all the bedrooms being located on the 1st floor and loft. We are welcoming to all disabilities where we can provide access to the rooms, however depending on your disability if you have one we may need to discuss how best to accommodate you. We accept benefits and universal credit. Available from the 18th of November..
1 Loft room available:
- 750p/m plus bills - loft conversion with ensuite.
- Bills roughly £100 which includes:
Electricity, gas, Council Tax, WIFI, TV License, Water Rates & Communal Household supplies (Toilet roll, bin bags, kitchen roll, washing up liquid etc. )
Deposit is five weeks rent.
The Contract:
a standard 6 month let which moves onto a rolling monthly contract.
All deposits are protected.
Access:
The front door/s is key access but not heavy. A waist height lock for the first door and then 5.5ft high lock for the second door for entry. There is a also a step up to the front patio ahead of reaching the front door.
All bedrooms are located either on the 1st or 2nd floor and as its a terraced house we don’t have any lift access.
As this is the loft room it requires the ability to climb to sets of stairs within the property.
There is no buzzer or key fob access.
Ground Floor:
The front door opens up into a small porch which leads to the first key access internal door. That first interval door then leads to the stairs to the first floor in front of you and a door to the right which is leads to a open plan through lounge complete with bar.
At the end of the through long on the right is the downstairs bathroom complete with bath with shower fixing toilet and sink. Straight ahead is the kitchen.
Through the kitchen it leads to the back garden which has a step down to the patio.
Access to the room:
As the property is a townhouse unfortunately there is no lift access to the room. It would require the ability to climb two sets of stairs.
Pets:
Pets are negotiable depending on size. We had a house cat who we unfortunately lost a year ago but we are open to those who have them. We’ve had lodgers who have had a cat before.
Neurodivergent friendly:
We absolutely are neurodivergent friendly.
The room:
Spreading across the entire top floor it comes furnished with a Super King bed frame, Super King mattress (good quality) and mattress protector, large chest of drawers, large sliding double wardrobe with mirror, large desk with custom glass top, storage shelves and private walk in shower ensuite.
Downstairs:
Large walk through lounge with bar and 50 inch tele.
Downstairs three piece Bathroom.
Big Kitchen with washing machine and dryer. Space for at least 2 people to cook at the same time.
Gym (weights) and self tape Space in converted garage at the back of the home.
Lots of storage space.
Travel:
- 10 Min walk to Beckton station (DLR)
- 20 min walk to East Ham station (Hammersmith and City Line)
- 15 min walk to Excel Custom House (Elizabeth Line & DLR)
- Bus stops at the end of the road, 20 mins into Stratford and Westfield Shopping centre.
Groceries, Lifestyle and Shopping:
- Large ASDA and Sainsbury's 10 min walk, Tesco Express 8 mins walk, Newsagents, fish & chip shop, Chinese takeaway all within a 5 -10 min walk.
- Numerous lovely parks close by in east ham and Beckton
- Gallions Reach - Shopping outlet
- Spacious yet Cosy vibe
