Description
Hello stranger!
I’m seeking a housemate to share my lovely home in Bellingham, less than 10 mins walking from Bellingham station (regular Thameslink services into Blackfriars) and 15 mins walking from Lower Sydenham (Southeastern to London Bridge/Charing Cross/Cannon Street).
It’s an end of terrace house with off-street parking (I don’t drive so it’s all yours if you have a car to bring); a back garden with patio (keen gardeners welcome, I desire a beautiful space but lack the skills or patience); downstairs loo with separate shower; upstairs bathroom with shower; a really generously-sized lounge with TV (Netflix and Prime, aerial for terrestrial TV to be sorted but who watches that anymore really 🙃); a recently refurbished kitchen/diner with dishwasher; and a doomsday-worthy pantry.
The room for let is a furnished double (3.43m x 2.87m): you’ll have a brand new bed and mattress; desk and chair for that WFH 9-5 life; clothes rail; shelving; and drawers can be ordered if you desire. Fun bonus if you’re a movie buff - there is also a screen and projector for the full home cinema version experience (popcorn sadly not included, but you have Bell Green retail park with a supersized Sainsbury’s and an Aldi 15 mins walk away if you require snacks).
Transport connections are ace - you’ve got both stations nearby, plus loads of bus routes from the bus garage. You can easily get to all the trendy parts of London, if that’s your thing. Beckenham Place Park is nearby and is absolutely beautiful for a walk and prime dog-spotting territory, plus the café there is lush.
Your housemate is me: Kate, 32, currently interviewing for new roles in creative operations after a career break. I’m very social but equally value my alone time - I’m generally always up for a natter in the evenings, though! I prefer cooking for other people than for myself, so will frequently offer to feed you. I’m sober, but totally cool with being around alcohol. I also LOVE dogs, so if you have a sweet furry child also in need of accommodation, I am VERY HERE FOR IT.
I’m into keeping fit (lifting and spinning), going for long walks, catching the latest musical, getting brunch, and introducing people to Ticket to Ride, aka the best board game ever. I’m also freshly divorced, so a wingwoman is very welcome as I reemerge on to the London social scene.
As a landlord, I’m pretty chilled - what you do in your room is your business, so long as it doesn’t involve arson or hiding bodies under the floorboards. I like to keep the place clean and tidy, but I’m not going to flip out over a mug left in the sink. All bills are included - nobody needs the hassle of watching the gas meter like a hawk. I’m pretty flexible on moving dates - the room is immediately available.
Drop me a message if you’re interested, pop round for a viewing, I’ll stick the kettle on and we can assess the vibe. Look forward to meeting you! x
