Light-filled furnished double room available on a quiet tree lined road; wardrobe, shelving, lamp, queen sized bed, small dresser, rug, blinds etc. Looking for someone who values a peaceful home which is inclusive, kind, respectful of personal space, appreciative of one another as we move through life.
The house has central heating, alarm system with fully inspected smoke detectors, double-oven stove, working living room fireplace, washing machine, dishwasher and a weekly cleaner.
You will be living with peaceful people who care about meaningful connection and kindness; an artist (and hypnotherapist) with a studio in the garden; a technologist working in film and tv; a policy professional in the creative industries. This house is a respite for us all.
We have a peaceful, well-maintained garden with a pond full of fish – fire pit and barbecue which we’re prone to use even in winter. Location is Bellingham (Lewisham, zone 3). One rail station within 5 min, 2 others within 15. Short walk to Waterlink Way; Beckenham Place Park and Crystal Palace are a bus/cycle away. No permit is required for street car parking and we have safe bike storage.
850 pcm including utilities, council tax, fast broadband with a move-in date no earlier than 8 January 2025. This does not include weekly cleaner or cleaning supplies (approximately £80 p/m).
We are looking for someone who appreciates and contributes to a calm household and who ideally will not work from home. We require proof of identity, proof of income and previous tenancy reference; and a one month deposit of £850 with a six-month contract (one month break clause) which is renewable if everyone is content.
Everyone does house chores on a weekly rota (including once every four months undertaking big chores like gardening and windows), with house meetings to manage things. Shared supplies are split quarterly (not included in monthly rent).
