Thanks for checking this ad out. We will be prioritising people who have fully read through this ad before you respond to us (there is a test), so let's hope you're one of them! :)
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
We are looking for someone that is easy going and sociable, but also considerate and responsible enough to contribute to the upkeep of the house i. e. you'd be expected to take part in weekly cleaning rotas and also show initiative during the week to make sure the shared living spaces are kept clean.
We are also looking for someone that will be fun to hang out with, who won't just spend all their time in their room as it'd be nice to make the house feel like a home! Whilst this is under no circumstances a party house, we will have people around occasionally but will let everyone else know in advance, and we would expect the same from anyone else living here.
ABOUT THE HOUSE:
The location of the house is about 5-7 minutes walk to Belsize Park on the Northern Line, and 5-7 minutes walk also to Hampstead Heath overground, which has great links to East and West London. There is a Budgens, an M&S, some local corner shops, nice restaurants, and an excellent chippy round the corner. Close by there is a little park too but Hampstead Heath is also a 10 minute walk away. In addition, Camden is about a 20 minute walk away too (10 minutes door to door by Tube) and if you are not familiar with the area, it is an iconic scene in London for alternative fashion, bars, live music and clubbing.
This place is a recently refurbished 4 bedroom house in an ex-council estate and having already lived here for several years now, I can say that this area is very safe and beautiful.
Room 1 has a small double bed and comes fully furnished with wardrobe, desk, chest of drawers and a shelf. Working from home is possible here although we would strongly prefer a tenant who does not work from home.
Room 2 has a small double bed and comes fully furnished with wardrobe, chest of drawers and a shelf. Work from home is not possible here and we will not accept anyone who wants to work from this room.
There is a kitchen with a dining table, gas stove and oven, gas boiler, washing machine and tumble dryer combo. The living room is spacious and contains a coffee table, bookcase, sofa, TV and access to a balcony. Upstairs, there is also a bathroom that contains a bath, shower, toilet and sink.
The room being advertised includes the following bills: council tax, and does not include: gas, electricity, water, and Virgin Internet which will be billed separately and is approximately £50-60 per month.
The move in date is from 15th September onwards although we can be flexible. Move in must be completed by 30th September. There is a very small possibility to extend the contract after March 2025 but you may have to take on the full tenancy and management of the flat.
ABOUT US:
I have a PhD in Chemistry and am working from home part time in R&D contracts. At home, I like to cook with others, and relax in the living room with board games, wine/cheese/grapes, but I also like to spend time in my own room just chilling out and unwinding online.
In my spare time, I like to do: acrobalance so I'll often be out in the park jamming or at picnics, flying trapeze, aerial hoop that I rig in a tree in Hampstead Heath if the weather is nice, cycling, parkour, reading, cooking, drawing, exploring.
D: Works in IT, likes watching movies, cooking, travelling, gym, cars, playing guitar, going for walks, having a drink at the pub.
---
If you are interested in living here, please can you tell us a bit more about yourself - name, age, what do you do, what are your hobbies, and why you want to live here, as well as email address or mobile number. I can then take this forwards and arrange a viewing date.
Please confirm what your study/working arrangements will be like and whether you can view in person or do an online viewing.
To state that you've actually read all the way down here, please also tell us a "fun fact" about yourself.
Nothing is confirmed until a deposit is transferred.
