An intelligent and educated older lady with reduced memory and poor eyesight is seeking a Sharer for her home who would be available to offer a little help and company (no more than 15 hours each week) in exchange for the low-cost accommodation.

She likes to be very independent, but would value the friendly reassurance and company of having someone around her home in the evenings and overnight. She doesn’t currently need a lot of help, but would appreciate someone lending a hand with picking up shopping, help with an online shop every few weeks, cooking around four meals each week, a little light cleaning and tidying, accompanying on some outings, ad hoc practical help and errands as may be needed and generally helping to keep an eye on things.

The accommodation on offer is on the top floor of the property, with a double bedroom (new bed to be bought), wardrobe, chest of drawers, kitchenette and separate bathroom. There is space for someone to work from home.

The property is in an excellent location in NW3, just 10-15 minutes’ walk from Belsize Park Tube (Northern Line) and 10 minutes from Gospel Oak Station (overground).

The lady is a trained classical musician and opera singer and enjoys classical music, art and drama. She loves watching period dramas and nature programmes and misses her recently-departed cat. She is Christian and goes to her local church on Sundays.

As a Sharer you are free to work or study as long as you have enough spare time to give the agreed level of company and support. The ideal Sharer will be a positive, friendly, kind, helpful and reliable non-smoker who ideally shares some of the person’s interests. Due to poor hearing, clear spoken English is also important.
