Description

Spacious double bedroom in a quiet Bermondsey flat, sharing with one other (no queues for the bathroom!) and 2 cats.

My flatmate has moved out after 2 years to move in with his boyfriend and he says it always felt like home here.

It's not a party house (those days are long gone!). More of a relaxed and friendly home. Though of course, if you want to go out and party, I'm not going to judge :-)

The room

You'll be living in a large room with a comfy double bed. There's plenty of space to store clothes, including hanging space, drawers, under-the-bed and a shelf.

There's a large window (with a black-out blind) that faces the back of the house, so it's nice and quiet. It's also currently configured with a computer desk but that can be changed if you prefer something else.

The flat

It's a beautiful space in a Victorian house conversion. There's a recently fitted kitchen with everything you need, a well-stocked spice rack, plenty of shelves and storage. The kitchen is great for cooking, with a Bosch gas hob and oven, a microwave, washer-dryer, fridge and freezer.

The bathroom was renovated last year. There's a walk-in raindance shower and illuminated mirror for shaving.

And, best of all, there's a large roof terrace which is a sun trap in the summer and a gorgeous space to chill.

There's gas central heating and superfast broadband.

Transport links

You've got the best of both worlds here. The flat is on a quiet, tree-lined street but you can be in central London in a flash.

It's really handy for the City, Canary Wharf and West End and most of London tbh.

Bermondsey tube: 12 minutes
London Bridge: 15-20 minutes
Buses: 1, 63,188 and loads more

It's also very close to the Q1 cycle route and if you cycle you can get to most parts of central London easily and avoid traffic. You're welcome to store a bike in the flat if you want.

The neighbourhood

You'll love living here! It's a few minutes walk to Maltby Street food market and all the local breweries. It's close to Burgess Park, Southwark Park and the Thames path. There's a cinema in Bermondsey Square and a huge PureGym nearby.

You can walk to London Bridge, Borough Market and up to the Tate Modern and there are loads of coffee shops, fancy restaurants and bars and a great chip shop around Bermondsey Street.

There's a big Tesco's and a small Sainsbury's a few minutes walk from the flat.

And what about me?

I'm down-to-earth and very grounded. I work in digital and marketing for a NGO. I like to run and swim, go to the movies and travel. And I'll always respect your privacy.

If this could work for you then drop me a line and say hello. I’ll be around the week of 22 December if you want to take a look at the room.
