We have a double room available in a beautiful, 150sqm refurbished Georgian house in Bermondsey. The location is fantastic—walking distance to Bermondsey Street, Tower Bridge, and Shad Thames. We have excellent 24-hour transport links to Central London, and are surrounded by parks (Southwark, Burgess) and local markets.
The Room & Layout The house is split over three floors, offering plenty of space and privacy:
Top Floor: Occupied by the live-in landlords (Maria & Pablo) and their two children.
Ground Floor: Common areas (fully equipped kitchen, bright dining room, living room, terrace, and garden).
Lower Ground Floor (Your Space): This is where your room is located. You will share this floor and a large bathroom (shower and tub) with only one other female professional, Alice.
The room features:
Double bed, wardrobe, and bedside table.
Private street entrance: You have your own door leading to the front garden/street, giving you great independence. You also have full access to the main front door, of course.
The Housemates We are a friendly, professional household:
Maria (41) & Pablo (43): We are from Spain. Maria loves coffee and exercising; I (Pablo) work in IT and am the author of this ad.
Alice (26): Tech consultant from Singapore, cooking enthusiast, and easy-going.
The Kids (4yo & 2yo): Our son and daughter. They are curious and playful but are out of the house with childminders/school from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, so the house is quiet during the workday.
Finances
Rent: £700/month
Bills: Fixed at £100/month (Includes Gas, Elec, Water, Internet, Council Tax, and weekly cleaner for the common areas).
Total: £800/month all-inclusive.
Ideal Flatmate We are looking for a female professional who is relaxed, respectful, and tidy. Since this is a family home, we appreciate a calm environment, but we are also friendly and want everyone to feel at home!
