It would ideally suit a group of 3 to 4 professionals or mature students. The rent given here is for single occupancy, year long contract, which I would prefer, although I am somewhat flexible for the right person/s. So do reach out if you are interested.
The flat is just 10 to 13 minutes walk from Bermondsey Station/Jubilee line.
**What is the vibes in the house?
Overall vibe inside the house is that of minimalism and informality. We like plants! And colors! You will see all unusual hues of wall colors in the house that you naturally find in nature, the radical red of the sun, green of the forest, grey of the soil, and yellows of the daffodils!
It is a corner house so it is flooded with natural lights from three sides throughout the day! And there is no obstruction to your views of tree-lined streets and the life in motion outside and around!
Those who are grounded, have some interests in arts, startups, travel, yoga/conscious living, nature/sustainability will feel at home.
Residents who stayed here earlier have made it a meaningful micro-community where we have enhanced each others life through chanced-upon collaborations in arts, startups, and activism. In the past, residents here have collaborated amongst themselves for tech and data startups, creative content production/arts, and activism for earth-friendly choice architecture. It would be nice to continue that streak!
There are four rooms:
Room 1/ We call it Monk's Room as it offers small but adequate space for those who don't have a lot of burdensome belongings! This is a single but self-sufficient room with its own workstation, walk-in built wardrobe, bookshelf, full-size mirror.
Room 2/ We call it Morning Sunshine Room as the sunshine visits the earliest through its eastward window! This is a normal double-sized room with stackable beds to allow a personalization of the space. It has its own built-in wardrobe, workstation, bedside drawers.
The room has abundant natural light throughout the day to keep your mood sparky and upbeat. Moreover, it has an unobstructed view of the tree-lined street and life outside! So, on a leisurely weekend, you will have a ringside seat to witness life slowly unfolding outside on the street!
Room 3/ Ever Sunshine Large Room/ This room is all that room 2 offers but with a substantially larger size and windows facing both south east and south west. That means you will not miss either early dawn sunshine nor when the sun kisses you a gentle goodbye at dusk! You can sync in your own circadian rhythm of sleep and wakefulness to that of the first hello and the last sayonara from the sun on a day... all in your own room!
Room 4/ Executive Suit, almost>> This is a super-large room, akin to a large studio with its own balcony, and its own private half bathroom. Out of the two large windows, one is the floor-ceiling, so you will not miss on the Shard on the skyline or the greenery of the neighborhood. Having your own private balcony is a big plus, if you like breathing in the fresh air the first thing in the morning! Or you like the first hand access to the sky outside the four walls!
Founder CEOs for a startup and a design agency have stayed in this room the past, so the room is accordingly very well set up for that kind of stay. It has a very large modern workstation (adjustable heights for both standing and sitting work), large white board, a large set drawers, bookshelf and stackable beds (for flexible personalization of the space). And you will have a very well collection of books to boot from when you are too bored from the blue screen of your laptop or damn mobile!

The location is perfect in terms of both accessibility and availability of wide range of amenities/hangout places/fun activities!
If you like greenery and particular about your morning/evening runs/walks, Southwark Park is just 10 minutes walk, and an ideal place to spend time with tree and wildlife. This is a huge park with a range of offerings including its wildlife garden, a boating lake and an art gallery, sports facilities, and a program of events.
Multiple options for hangouts, weekend markets and street markets in the vicinity includes: Big Sunday Food Market at Deal Porter Square, Maltby Street Markets know for their artisanal brews, Bermondsey High Street known for its cafes, galleries and museum). Surry Quays shopping centre is also just 15 minutes walk away.
