Description
Looking for two additional student sharers for this four bed house. Two of the rooms are taken - one by a final year student at the School of Osteopathy, and the other room will be used if necessary by a current student at LSE, so the we’re looking for undergrad students with one more year to go to avoid council tax (until the last few weeks). Current tenants are British.
There is now one double en-suite and one huge double with access to two shared bathrooms available.
The house is 2 minutes from Bermondsey tube, and has a garden at the back.
What's available:
1. Double ensuite (shower, loo and sink) with fitted wardrobes, bedside tables and a bookshelf, bed, desk+chair. £950 + bills
2. Extremely spacious double loft room with a double bed, wardrobes, desk and chair. Access to shared bathroom and shower room. £1025 + bills
The shared bathroom has bath, shower, loo and sink.
The shared shower room has shower, loo and sink.
There is a shared large lounge with TV; kitchen and separate toilet downstairs.
We have a back garden that's perfect for catching rays in the summer or a nice BBQ, and a shed to store bikes etc.
We share the drive with the landlord who rents it out, so this isn't really for a car owner. If the tenants have visitors, then they can book the drive at no cost.
We have nice neighbours and quick access to the West End, Bermondsey, Tower Bridge, Canary Wharf, City Shad Thames and the river.
On the bus, it's around 36 mins to LSE/UcL/kings, or 30 mins on the tube.
The rooms are available from 1 September for 11 months.
Utility bills and TV service are not included, but electric, water, gas - should be around £62.50 - £75 each per month max depending on sharers - so if four the lower number and three the higher number….and usage levels. There is no council tax for students - we suggest that any student that drops out be responsible for the council tax payments from then on around £200 a month - and landlord will pay for fast broadband for next year. The council tax band is E.
We would like respectful, clean sharers - this is a nice student let - who don't mind socialising with us once in a while too.
We’re looking to do viewings on 7 June.
You would need to sign a single contract for the house as a group of sharers.
The current students course finishes on around the 20th of June so next year she would be liable for council tax during the last six weeks of her tenancy. If your course should end before the 20th of June, you would be liable in info for that portion of the council tax unless you all agree differently.
To explain a bit more, last year's students had to pay 7 weeks of council tax as their course finished 7 weeks before end of the contract, so that was just under £200 each.
