Description

Hi!

Our wonderful flatmate is moving out, so a cozy double room in Old Kent Road will be available from mid September. The room omes furnished with a bed, a wardrobe, a desk, and a chair. It is facing the main road. The price is £785pcm.

The living room is nice and spacious. The kitchen is recently refurbished, it has everything you need including a dishwasher, a kettle, a toaster, a microwave...
Bathroom is shared between everybody. Bills are irregular, but they are roughly £100pp, depending on the month. Deposit will be £600+, awaiting confirmation from the landlord. We would like each of us to be responsible for separate bill so that the financial risk doesn’t rest on one person only.

A bit about us:
I’m Zula, I’m 24, and I recently graduated with a degree in English. I work as a piano tutor and part time as a receptionist. Apart from that I make synth pop and am preparing for auditions for further classical music studies. Love running, gym, the BFI is my safe space, and if I don’t go to the theatre at least twice a month, I wither.

Abby, 24, is a historian who runs a fantastic women’s history journal (peep the HERstory project!). Works part time as a social media intern, and part time in one of the Greenwich museums. Likes swimming, running, and strictly come dancing. Always busy, but always eager to hang out/chat.

What we’re looking for:
A female/non-binary flatmate who won’t mind hanging out from time to time, but generally keeps to themselves. Mid 20s only. Must be a neat person - we keep a weekly cleaning rota and hold each other accountable.

For council tax reasons, we are only looking for professionals.

Please keep in mind I (Zula) make music - that includes recording, producing, practicing piano and practicing singing, although I do try to do it when the house is empty/communicate in advance in case I need the living room for an online class. If you’re creative then that’s definitely an advantage!

This is not a party home and we would like to keep it that way. No smoking inside. This is a drug free home - that’s non-negotiable.

As far as the neighbourhood goes - can't hear the neighbours, there is a big Tesco just across the road and buses can get you to London Bridge, Tower Bridge, Elephant and Castle or New Cross in under 15 minutes. The landlord is also very friendly and helpful, and generally quick in resolving issues. Please send a message with a some info about yourself and include your favourite Taylor Swift song so that I know you’ve read the ad.

Thank you!
Zula
