Furnished Double Room in Bermondsey Terrace

Hello! This amazing furnished double room is available from the 22nd of March (or earlier).

THE HOUSE: The house itself is a two story mid terrace house located on a quiet street 5 minutes walk from Bermondsey tube station. Downstairs there is a large living and dining room, kitchen, downstairs WC and under stairs storage. Upstairs are the three bedrooms and the main bathroom. We are also really lucky to have an amazing large garden at the back of the house for summer BBQs and lazy days.

THE ROOM: The room is situated to the rear of the house on the first floor with views onto the garden. The room comes with a double bed, chest of draws, side table, and wardrobe.

HOUSEMATES: Tom and I are both professionals, Tom (English) a 3D Artist and Branwell (Australian) is a Transport Consultant. Tom generally works from home and Branwell is in the office most days. In the evenings we like to relax by watching a bit of TV or going for a run / gym. We are very respectful of people’s space, quiet, laid back, drama free and tidy. The cleaner Ana comes once a fortnight to clean communal areas which is included in the rent. Ideally we are looking for a lovely housemate to share the home. The ideal person would be tidy, respectful, sociable (but not a party animal) and laid back. The room would suit someone who (mostly) works from the office as it does not currently have a dedicated workspace. I’m afraid we aren’t looking for: smokers, couples or pet owners (we do have a friendly neighbourhood cat visit from time to time). We are LGBT friendly with one gay and one straight housemate.

THE CONTRACT: Our housemate is sadly moving on after 7 years for work. The new housemate will be taking over the remaining months of the contract. The contract was renewed in July 2024 and will get renewed again on 22nd of July for 12 months. We intend to renew the contract again in July.

LOCAL AREA: The local area is amazing. It’s a 15 minute tube to central London or a 20 minute cycle. There are a lot of near by shops Tesco, Co-op, Iceland all 7 min walk away. Closer there are great independent shops under the arches selling fruit, veg, baked goods, meats and cheeses. Bermondsey street and Borough Market are a 15-20 minute walk with loads of bars, restaurants and places to grab coffee. For wandering or sport you have Southwark park 7 min walk away for cricket, tennis, running and volleyball or Burgess park a 10 minute cycle away. We are also close to Pure Gym a 3-minute walk away, and the river which is a 7 min wander away.
