Hiya,
I'm moving out having lived in Wilson for nearly 3 years.
I have 3 delightful housemates. It is a very welcoming and friendly environment. All 3 are professionals and everyone is very independent, polite, efficient and fair in chore/utility management, well mannered and respectful of space and boundaries.
At the same time, we are all very sociable and we often hang out together or socialise at some of the excellent local pubs (Old Justice, Angel and Gregorian).
Kat has been there the longest, 3 years. me, nearly 3 years, Lucy nearly 2 years and Matt for nearly a year.
The house itself is fantastic and large. It's got a large kitchen diner, with a conservatory at the back which looks out into the garden where the garage is. There's space to work at home in this space for at least 3 people. Often it is just me working from home but if the others do, it's very conducive to this and everyone is respectful.
The room I am leaving is on the first floor, along with 2 other double rooms which are Kat and Lucy's rooms. Matt is upstairs in an ensuite. The three rooms on the first floor share a big bath/shower room which is well looked after.
My room is definitely the largest double. Comfy bed and plenty of storage space including large wardrobes, 3 chest of draws and side table.
Rent is £991. Contract renews end of July and I wouldn't be surprised if it went up £25 per head; this will have to be negotiated. David the landlord is actually pretty good; private landlord and reasonably responsive when anything has gone wrong.
Bills including water, energy, broadband, TV, Council Tax come to about £100 per head. So, total cost per month of £1091 roughly.
In terms of the location, I've never lived anywhere better; 2 minute walk from Jamaica Road and Bermondsey tube. 2 min walk from Southwark Park, 2 min walk from good pubs, 10 min walk to the Circle Gym and Spa (best value gym I've ever been to, if this is your thing). Pretty good takeout spots too if this is your vibe.
Overall summary: great housemates, great house, great room, great location. I'll miss it greatly.
We'll do viewings/interviews. We're really looking for professionals who are independent and can add to the friendly environment of Wilson. That's it really. Thanks!
