Cycling is also a great option around here - the area has lots of dedicated cycle paths and quiet roads. There’s usually plenty of lime bikes/santander bikes nearby. We also have access to two (currently unused) parking spaces.
We're looking for a mature housemate, who’s friendly and sociable yet independent. We are a couple sharing a room, but we’re very keen to make sure the flat feels like a joint, shared home for everyone who lives there ❤️ We’re both clean and tidy, and like to keep the home a cosy and comfortable space to hang out - so we’re really looking for someone who takes the same attitude and consideration towards wherever they live! Queer and POC friendly <3
Please drop us a message if you’re interested, and feel free to ask us any questions! We’d love to hear:
1) A bit about you (what you do, your interests, preferences around the house etc.)
2) What dates/times you're available for a house viewing over the next few weeks.
✨A bit about us ✨
Desa:
Hi :) I work in the charity sector, developing software and helping charities with their tech/data. I also run a worker cooperative! I work remotely, and split my time working from home, cafes/workspaces, and while travelling. When I’m home, you’ll see me around the house a fair bit on weekdays. I love a good natter, especially over a coffee/tea, but am equally happy to do my own thing. I’m tidy and respectful of communal spaces, and handy with a power tool if something needs a quick fix. Also a huge plant lover, so the house comes with plenty of them 🌱
I tend to be out more often than not in the evenings/on weekends. I love music, so you’ll often catch me heading out for a boogie on the weekend. I do a lot of pole-dancing and climbing, and love hiking, wild swimming and all things outdoorsy. I’ve also caught the sauna bug (we're near several good spots), so I try to get in a good steam sesh whenever I can! When I am in, you’ll find me working away on some creative project - usually knitting/crochet with the tv/a podcast on, or a bit of djing.
Sampras:
Hi, I’m Sampras :) I was most recently a primary school teacher in London and am now taking some time off to explore/travel for the upcoming year, so I may not be home all the time. I like to keep personal and communal spaces in the house clean and tidy and try to be considerate about how I leave shared spaces for others. In my own time, I enjoy doing a bit of cooking, playing basketball/tennis, binging on a good show - and with my time off I’m also looking to get into wood carving and watercolour painting :) I am generally more quiet and introverted but do also enjoy a good chat from time to time!
