Description

We are looking for a 22-35 year old to take over the bigger room (with en-suite) in a central London flat. Our lease ends 15 August 2026, and we are looking for someone to take this over after I leave the country for work on 6 March.

Following the end of the lease, the existing flatmate will be moving out. If you can find a suitable candidate to take over, discussions with the landlord can be held to extend.

Existing flatmate: Zak (24M) is a trainee solicitor who is incredibly clean and helpful (and empties the dishwasher more often than me!). Zak pays for the broadband (£40) and bills, which we then split 50/50 our bills are generally low as we are often working late).

The flat:

- Fully furnished
- Monday-Friday (very friendly and helpful) concierge
- 360 security system (cameras viewable from flat at all times)
- Accessible (lift)
- 2 bedroom
- Huge living room with television (corner flat - the biggest in the building).
- En-suite (and separate master bathroom). Zak and I have used these separately.
- Incredible amount of storage space both in the wardrobe of the room to let, and in the communal cupboards
- Dishwasher
- Combined washing machine/tumble drier
- Ample crockery (the previous tenants left a range of plates, cutlery, glasses behind)
- The flat is incredibly cool in the summer, and the double windows throughout the flat all open completely.
- Council Tax band: G (£3,130 per annum)
- Landlord has let us use the parking space she owns when moving in/when family has visited. It is located 3 minutes down Curlew Street in the parking lot.
- Water bill included in rent

The room:

- En-suite is spacious (as depicted)
- Huge wardrobes
- Desk
- Spare table in the room
- Two bedside tables with lamps
- Portable fans and heaters

Area: The area is very central and incredibly well connected to the Northern, Jubilee, District and Central lines, as well as the Thameslink and National Rail services from London Bridge. The flat is an approx. 20-25 minute walk from Bishopsgate/Liverpool Street.

The flat is a 10 second walk from the river, and a 2 minute walk to Tower Bridge. It is a 13 minute walk across the bridge from Tower Hill station, and a 10 minute walk along the river from London Bridge Station. For amenities, the flat is equidistant between two quite large Tesco shops - both a 10 minute walk in opposite directions. The nearest (but smaller) shop is a Sainsburys Local which is a 5 minute walk away.

The area boasts a number of restaurants of all prices and tastes, as well as a WatchHouse, Starbucks and other coffee shops and pubs right on the doorstep of the flat. There are also plenty of gyms nearby, and a run club which starts from just behind the flat.

The Bridge theatre is also a 3 minute walk, just past Tower Bridge. Bermondsey Street is a 13-15 minute walk away (restaurants, bars, tennis courts etc.).
