I’m moving out as I’m buying my own place, so a large double bedroom is becoming available in a modern, well-maintained flat in Bermondsey. The room is spacious and bright and comes furnished with a double bed, a large built-in wardrobe with loads of storage and plenty of space to make it your own. I’m also happy to leave the desk if it would be useful.

The flat benefits from a generous shared living and kitchen area, ideal for hosting friends or relaxing after a long day. The bathroom is a good size and includes both a bath and a walk-in shower, which is a real bonus.

The location is one of the standout features of the flat. Bermondsey station and the Jubilee line is just an 8-minute walk away. You’re also close to Southwark Park, a large Tesco Express, the Bermondsey Beer Mile, Maltby street market as well as excellent running routes along the Thames. London Bridge and borough market are also reachable in around 20 minutes on foot.

You’ll be sharing with Alanas, a professional male in his late 20s. He’s friendly and easy to get along with, but works long hours so the flat is generally quiet during the week and you’ll feel like you have the place to yourself most of the time. Weekends are relaxed, with a natural balance between having your own space and being sociable. The move-in date is flexible, with mid-February being ideal, though happy to discuss whatever works for you.

Bills are approximately £200 per person per month, covering water, gas, electricity, broadband and council tax (Southwark Band F), though this may vary slightly with usage. The current contract ends at the end of March, the landlord who is very responsive has already agreed to a new two-year tenancy through Foxtons which you will sign on to. Rent will be £2,650pcm in the first year and £2,700pcm in the second year, split evenly between two people, with a 12-month break clause should you wish to activate it. The security deposit is £1,298.
