Double room available for MONDAY TO FRIDAY let in a top floor apartment just off Tower Bridge Road. The flat is situated off the Old Kent Road in a gated mansion block with secure entry. The room is newly decorated and has a double bed, wardrobe, drawers and a large mirror.

The room comes with shared use of a lovely fully equipped kitchen with a table and chairs, washing machine and dishwasher, a comfortable living room with new sofa and reading chair, a large bathroom with a bath and shower and use of the roof terrace which has views of the Shard, St Paul’s and Tower Bridge. It also has broadband.

You would be sharing me, a professional female in my late 30s. I work at Guy’s Hospital (don’t worry, I don’t work shifts but understand what it is like if you do!). I love cooking, reading, going to the cinema etc. My flat would suit a professional or mature student looking for a well located, quiet place to stay.

The flat is 10 minutes walk to the popular Bermondsey Square and its many bars and restaurants and a 5 minute stroll to Burgess Park, the largest urban park in south east London. There is a Tesco a couple of minutes walk along the road and excellent local shops on Old Kent Road as well as fruit and vegetable stalls in nearby East Street Market.

The monthly rent is £550 including fresh linen, towels, cleaning and all bills, wifi and council tax. This is on a Monday to Friday basis and a deposit of £550 will be required on acceptance of tenancy. Sunday arrivals or additional occasional nights can also be negotiated at an extra £30 a night. The flat is no smoking although the roof terrace can be used for this purpose.

The flat is in zone 1 and there are great transport links right outside the apartment with regular buses for most destinations across London including the 21 to London Bridge and Borough Market (12 mins, Jubilee and Northern Lines/ Gatwick Airport), the 168/172 to Waterloo (12 mins), 53/63/168/172 to Elephant and Castle (5 mins, Bakerloo/Northern line), 453 to Regent Street (25 mins) 63 to Kings Cross (30 mins), 168 to Euston (30 mins) and the 42 to Liverpool Street (20 mins).

The closest tube stations are Bermondsey (800m Jubilee), Borough (900m Northern) and Elephant and Castle (900m Bakerloo & Northern).

If you prefer to walk then it takes 25 mins to London Bridge, 20 to Tower Bridge/ Shad Thames and 15 mins to Elephant and Castle.

The flat is just outside the congestion zone. If you require on-street parking, permits can be arranged at a cost of £5/day (max of 80 days parking in a calendar year).
The room is available for immediate occupation for a short or longer term Monday to Friday let.
