Double room available from 17 July in a spacious three-bedroom maisonette, just a 3-minute walk from Bethnal Green Underground station.

The flat is fully furnished and has a large living room, a recently refurbished kitchen, and all the usual essentials, including superfast Wi-Fi, a large TV, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. There is also a small front and back garden.

The room comes furnished with a double bed, desk, chair, built-in wardrobe and chest of drawers.

The flat is on the ground floor of a well-maintained ex-local authority building overlooking Roman Road.

Excellent transport links – the City and the West End are around 20 minutes away. As well as Bethnal Green Underground (Central line), Stepney Green station (District and Hammersmith & City lines) is less than a 10-minute walk away, and the Number 8 bus stops directly opposite the flat and runs through Central London all night.

You’ll also be within easy walking distance of Brick Lane, Victoria Park, cafés, pubs, bars, supermarkets, gyms and a swimming pool.

You’ll be sharing with me, the live-in landlord, and one other housemate, Christos. We’re both friendly, sociable and easy to get along with, and we’re looking for someone who’ll enjoy being part of a relaxed, respectful home rather than simply a place to rent. We enjoy a chat and occasionally share a meal or a drink, but we also respect each other’s privacy. This is a calm, considerate household rather than a party house.

You’ll be taking over the room from our lovely flatmate, Andrea, who is returning to her home country after spending three years with us. As our departing flatmate is female, we’re ideally looking for another woman to keep a similar balance in the household.

We all do our bit to keep the flat tidy, and a cleaner visits every other week to clean the communal areas. This is included in the rent.

Rent: £1,100 per calendar month, inclusive of all bills (energy costs are covered up to the value of the current monthly direct debit).

Deposit: £1,100

Total payable before moving in: £2,200 (one month’s rent plus deposit).

The room is for single occupancy only. Sorry, no couples or sharers.

Council Tax Band C (Council Tax is included in the rent.)
