Double Bedroom Available In Three-Bed Flatshare Close to Bethnal Green Station.

The biggest double room in our flat becomes available mid-October. The rent is £1000 per month (bills not included). Bills have historically been approx £150pp in the winter, and around £100pp in the summer months.

The room comes partly furnished with a wardrobe.

About the flat:

Our home is a three double bedroom, first floor flat on a quiet street in Bethnal Green. Despite its central location the road we are on is very residential and calm. The flat consists of a bright, airy kitchen with a dining table (extendable for when we have guests over), a separate, spacious living room (Nina works from home from the living room part of the week and there is space for one more person to do the same), a storage cupboard, a bathroom with a shower with good water pressure and a separate toilet. The block of flats has a lovely shared communal garden which is great for BBQs in the summer and if you’re a cyclist, there are private, lockable bike sheds which are not visible from the road.

About the location:

When we were moving here the main selling point about this flat was the location. We are just a five minute walk from Bethnal Green tube station and ten minutes from  Cambridge Heath overground. From here you can be in central London in 25 minutes but the area still has a really nice, community feel to it. We are five minutes walk away from the beautiful Victoria Park and the canal from where you can walk down to Angel or Limehouse on a sunny day. As well as a few smaller supermarkets nearby, there's a larger Tesco just up Bethnal Green Road for a larger shop. We are totally spoilt for choice when it comes to places to eat and drink, The Camel on the corner is a lovely local pub serving delicious pies, Sager + Wilde is just across the road as is Satan’s Whiskers, which was recently places in the number 1 spot of the UK’s Best Cocktail Bars 2023.

About Us:

Nina: I'm a young female professional (28 years old) working in Radio. I’m originally from Sweden and India but I’ve been living in the UK for 8 years. I usually work 2-3 days in the office and the remaining days I work from home.

Carmen: I'm a young female professional (28 years old) working in the Social Justice Charity sector. Originally from California, but I've now been in the UK for 3 years. I work primarily from the office, with the occasional WFH day.

We are both easy going, very into music, enjoy cooking, and attempting to keep our plants alive. Sadly our third flatmate Kat is leaving to move into her own place - so we are looking for a young professional (preferably female) similar minded person who is clean and tidy, enjoys hanging out now and then, maybe going for a pint or something - but who also has their own social life. Preferably also someone who wants to stay the full term.

This would be for a brand new contract. The landlord will need to do a reference check before moving in and requires a deposit of approx 865 pounds pp (subject to change, we are getting this confirmed by the agency shortly). The person moving in will also need an annual salary of minimum £27,000.
