IMPORTANT NOTES TO CONSIDER PLEASE READ BELOW!
My current flatmate is moving back to Cambridge, so I’m looking for someone to take over her room from 28th November, which is the end of my current tenancy agreement.
The flat is well below market value thanks to a fixed rent. The landlord agreed to keep it that way as he plans to put the flat up in market to sell.. so I think realistically -to give an idea- we’ll have up to 6 months here.. If the flat sells, we’d get 2 months’ notice, so there’s plenty of time hopefully. I’ve lived here for 1,5 years and absolutely love it — I’d buy it myself if I could! If you want to buy this flat and rent it to me let me know 😂
This is a joint tenancy, not a per-room tenancy. We’d be equal tenants, both equally responsible for the full rent and bills.
If you were to move out after just a month or two especially under current circumstances, it would cause me major inconvenience and stress — so it’s not suitable for a short-term arrangement. I really need someone who’s happy to stay until we have to leave this flat, which will likely be about 5–6 months anyway. 🙏🏻
It’s a luxurious duplex in a modern building. Bedrooms are upstairs, each with its own bathroom — mine is en-suite, and yours has a private bathroom right across the hall (with extra storage).
Downstairs: a guest toilet, laundry room, open-plan kitchen, spacious dining area, and a cozy living space. It’s peaceful, stylish, and feels like home.
The flat sits in a gated community by Regent’s Canal, surrounded by greenery. Bethnal Green and Mile End stations are within walking distance, and Victoria Park is just 5 minutes away. I’ve built a lovely social circle here with my neighbours — I arrange monthly gatherings at local pubs, so you’ll love living here with me if you’re also social and enjoy a friendly community.
Bills: £150 each (council tax, internet, water, gas, electricity).
A bit about me — I’m 28, work as a Business Development Manager in the commercial furniture industry. I’m very tidy, easygoing, enjoy cooking, travelling, and the occasional movie night or dinner together. I occasionally WFH 1 day a week, so ideally you’re not fully remote.
No couples or students, please.
