Double Room for Rent in Bethnal Green E2

Hello! Very sadly, our flatmate will be leaving their room in this lovely flat in Bethnal Green, as they are moving back to the States.

The communal area is spacious and full of light.
The bedroom is a double, fully furnished. There is plenty of room for storage within the room and plenty of opportunity to make it your own.

The rent is £625/month, bills not included (this is about an extra £80–100 a month).
Move-in date: the room is available from 3/11/25, but we are flexible if someone needs to come in earlier. As you would be taking over a rolling tenancy, there is flexibility on the length of your stay.

The area is one of those miraculous spots in London with absolutely everything
• 4 minutes’ walk to buses to Oxford Circus (55), the City (388, 26, 254) and Whitechapel (106)
• 10 minutes’ walk to the Central line and only 5 minutes to the Overground (Weaver Line)
• 10 minutes’ walk to Victoria Park and London Fields
• A series of grocery and house-goods stores on Old Bethnal Green Road, 10–15 minutes’ walk away, including Tesco, Iceland and independent greengrocers
• All the bakeries, restaurants and bookshops your heart desires in Broadway Market and Columbia Road (plus the iconic Columbia Road Flower Market), both less than 15 minutes away on foot!

You would be sharing with two lovely professionals, one male and one female housemate. You would be sharing a bathroom with just the male. Both housemates work usual 9–5s with some sporadic working-from-home days.

We rent directly from a private landlord with all rent being sent directly via bank transfer to him. Within the house you would be responsible for gas and electric meter readings and payment of the bill each month. The other housemates do council tax (Band D), water and internet. These are all split evenly each month.

The flat and housemates are the perfect mix of social and respectful, while maintaining a tidy space. This flat has been our London home for years and we’re genuinely sad to see someone go.
