Description
Hello people of spareroom!
I am sadly leaving this cosy little room in Bethnal Green and looking for a tidy, easy going, and mature professional to takeover.
The room:
It is a lovely room that comes fully furnished and is incredibly well naturally lit with one side of the room being entirely windows. The room is also very well regulated temperature wise with a large radiator, and has a lot of neat spots for storage.
The flat:
Located in a friendly and secure block of ex-council flats, the flat is in a great location. It's a 5-10 minute walk to the central line via bethnal green tube station. It's also a 10-15 minute walk from the district/Hammersmith and city line via Stepney green tube station. Also the number 8 bus runs very frequently taking you to either Tottenham court road via the city or Bow Church via Bow. Also the lovely Victoria park and regents canal is 10 minutes away. Loads of shops, pubs, and cute cafes nearby.
The flat itself has 4 bedrooms. It has one toilet and one bath/shower. There are a few areas and cupboards for storage. There's a cosy living room with a small balcony to live out any plant parent dreams. The kitchen has everything you need with an oven, microwave, good fridge and good storage space, and a washing machine. However, ifor the size and number for flatmates it might not suit someone looking to chef it up for a couple hours every evening.
The flat also has a cleaning rota for the communal areas of the flat to keep things ticking along nicely.
The flat is owned by a kind and responsive private landlord who is prompt at addressing issues but also keeps their distance for the day to day running of everything.
Rent/bills/admin:
The room will be available from 🤠your input required 🤠 (Rent will be pre-paid for the month with you paying the difference.)
Rent is £715 paid monthly.
Bills are roughly £75-£90 per month.
Council tax band C: £32.50 per month
Water: £21.50 per month
Internet: £8 per month
Gas and electricity: approximately £15-30 per month (depending on the time of the year)
TV licence: £ billed annually
As part of the new tenancy laws, you will be signing on to a new lease which will be issued as a part of moving in.
The flatmates:
Matt (he/him), 32, secondary school maths teacher. Can often be heard giving a faithful whimsical rendition of his favourite lady gaga or musical theatre song of the day. Excellent pub quiz team member.
Erin (she/her), 31, primary school teacher. Bubbly Australian who’s always happy for a chat and a pub trip. Also a very keen traveler who enjoys few things more than new adventures abroad.
Josh (he/him), 29 year old accountant. Irish and relatively new to London he is super interested in all the music the city has to offer and discovering all that’s great about living East.
Given the size of the flat, this isn't the space for hosting parties. But everyone is social and up for a chat in the evenings but equally have their own things going on and are respectful of everyone's space. Looking for somebody who fits that vibe!
Do reach out if you are interested with a little bit about you and we will look to schedule viewings in the next week or so :)
