Description
A room is available in a 3 bed flat in a nice green area in Blackheath 'village,' next to the heath and Greenwich park.
The flat itself is in need of some TLC but can easily be made nice and cosy....I have big plans... Aim to get another sofa and more chairs in the living room, a small table and chairs in the kitchen, and some shelves, and also in the bathroom, and the terrace has a lot potential too. The living room has a dining table and a sofa at the moment but is quite bare. This flat has a lot of potential but the previous flatmate took everything as she left after 10 years and so some things are missing. But it can easily be made homey again.
The flat is 30 seconds away from Blackheath Station which has trains to London Bridge (2 stops, about 12 mins away), and also trains to Victoria, Peckham, Canon Street, Charing Cross....etc. no tube station here which I do prefer. Easy to get around and can take bikes on the train.
I'm Alex, the current flatmate. I'm 29 and just finished my masters in molecular medicine and my thesis in the microbiome... I am really into microbiome stuff and am about to start a PhD researching this in October. Other than that I do a lot of running (trail running) and ultramarathons, like to spend a lot of time outside, cycling around, travelling, etc. Still exploring London (and generally the whole of south England) as I'm quite new here. I'm from the North but I also only got back to the UK after a long time living abroad (Germany and Taiwan) so I have been loving exploring the UK since I've been back.
The rent is £500 and the bills are about £120 each a month.
The other tenant will be Kirsty, a friendly vegan who works in clinical research.
We are both vegan/vegetarian and we would like to keep this a vegetarian flat if possible!
