Description
Beautiful double room available in a friendly 2 bed flat, within the sought after and picturesque Trinity Church Square.
It is a little haven of tranquillity right in the centre of London, located moments from London Bridge, Borough Market, Southbank, Bankside and the City.
There are two parks within a 3 min walk. Plus you have access to 2 communal gardens and a grassy back yard.
The flat is on the third floor of a Georgian terrace. You feel like a Jane Austen character every time you walk out the door and it is a popular location for filming which can be quite exciting. (I've spotted it in Sherlock, Spooks and Bridget Jones). Last year a film crew turned the square into a 1940s street for 3 days to film some scenes for a Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks film. When the film crews do come (about twice a year) they are very considerate and there is minimal disruption for residents.
The flat is technically unfurnished but my flatmate is happy to leave/sell her furniture.
Rent is £950 a month and is reviewed every year. Bills are approx £112 a month - £59 CT, £10 bradband, £7 water, £35 engery (not sure how the energy bills will pan out, but hoping that less over the summer will help reduce the hit in the winter months)
Your flatmate:
I'm a considerate and friendly professional, working from home for the majority of the time. I like to socialise in the evenings but also respectful of other's personal space and the need to switch off from the world. It would be great to share with someone who is open to watching a film, playing a board game or, when it is safe again, going for a drink together and making the flat a welcoming home.
Garden:
Rent includes access to the beautiful communal gardens in the center of Trinity Church Square and Merrick Square, great for picnics on summer days. There's also a small garden at the back of the property shared between the other 4 flats in the terrace.
Transport:
2 mins walk to Borough Station,
10 mins walk to Elephant and Castle and London Bridge
Parking, if you need it, is on the street, a permit is required which is approx £130 a year, there are plenty of spaces, I've never had trouble parking. It is located within the congestion charge zone.
Permits are not required on weekends or between 6pm and 8am which is useful for visitors.
Local Amenities: There's a little Sainsbury's and Tesco within 5 mins walk and a larger one within 30 mins walk for your big shops.
Eating out: Take your pick, London Bridge area is brimming with places to eat out from trendy open air food markets to high class restaurants.
Culture: The Tate modern is about 20 mins walk away, Borough market and Southwark cathedral are also easy strolling distance.
Happy to answer any further questions you may have.
