I will sadly be leaving my lovely double en-suite room near Borough station on 20 June, after over 3 wonderful years of living here. The room is in a three-bedroom modern flat, located a 5 min walk away from Borough station and an 8 min walk away from Southwark station.
The room is has a private bathroom and a private balcony. The room is a spacious double bedroom that comes furnished with good amount of closet and storage space, including the bed, a set of drawers and two wardrobes. Rent is £1,166.67 for the room (excluding bills which is about £160 a month but depending on the month). The desk, chair and bookcase are mine, however I would be happy to sell them for a reasonable price.
The location is great and very well-connected: 5 min walk to Borough station (Northern line), 8 min walk to Southwark station (Jubilee line), 8 min walk to Elephant and Castle station (Bakerloo line), and a 15 min walk to both Waterloo and London Bridge stations. It is also only a 30 min walk from the flat to Covent Garden, or a 20 min walk to the City/Bank.
I have two wonderful flatmates. One is from Paris (29, M) and works as a sustainability consultant, the other is British (30, M), working as an auditor. Both are amazing people, super tidy and friendly. We all get along nicely during the week and sometimes have dinner together/ hang out at the weekend, but we also have our own social lives. We also sometimes have friends coming over, but this is not really a party flat.
We are looking for someone to replace my room, until our lease ends on 13th July (with the option to renew, both the existing flatmates will be renewing the contract for another year and the rent amount will stay the same).
The living/ kitchen room area is of a good size and leads on to a balcony. The kitchen includes a dishwasher, washing machine/ dryer, fridge/ freezer, and kitchen appliances (including our beloved rice cooker and air fryer).
The area is also super safe, and there is a 24/7 concierge in the building. We also have a very good relationship with the landlady.
There is also a deposit of £1,181. For your reference, our council tax band is F.
