Description
The Flat: The flat is in a modern complex, furnished, with an open kitchen and large living room. There is a 24/7 concierge service that is helpful and manages keys as well as incoming deliveries, and in the basement you can park your bike in the garage (not sure about cars, would have to check with the landlord). There is a newly installed washer-dryer, a dishwasher, 2 microwaves for some reason and a functioning oven - all the basics you need.
The room: Your room is the smaller of the two, but you will have the larger bathroom with a bathtub. The room has a built in wardrobe and storage.
The area: First, tube access. There is the Northern line 1 min away, Borough station, and around 4 min away the London Bridge station with Jubilee and Northern lines (and other rail services). Absolutely critical asset is the Tesco that is situated next door and is open until 23:00 in the evening (09:00 Sundays); immensely convenient to grab a quick snack or do some last minute shopping before cooking. Bars and restaurants: For bars, there are quite a few good ones on Borough High Street, including places to go out a bit later than midnight. Happy to give an overview when we meet in person, but you should be able to find a suitable place to practice some leisurely pinting if that is your thing. In terms or restaurants, Bermondsey street is 6-7 minutes away, with many good addresses and places to go out in that area. Lastly, Borough Market is a few minutes away (same direction as Borough High Street), and a great place for all kinds of foods and drinks.
Me: I am a political and economic analyst and quite busy throughout the week, but try to have time during the weekend for sports and friends. I am generally clean and tidy, non-smoker and late-sleeper on the weekend. Keen to hang out whenever we both have a moment.
You: Only thing that will greatly help is if you are willing to help keeping things clean and tidy - doesn't have to be always pristine but your general default should be more on the clean side than not.
Otherwise, be you, whatever job or life situation that's none of my business.
Quick note about the landlord and the neighbours: The landlord is generally super efficient and fast - we just had a hiccup with the window that kept breaking, but we sorted that out. He is good and definitely nicer than average.
The neighbours are cool too - you never hear them. Only on my side of the flat there are some sounds that can be heard (TV, child noises) from time to time, but I doubt that this is the case in the other room.
Happy to answer any questions you may have and keen to get to know you. Speak soon!
Flat will be available from the week of December 8th.
Cleaner comes every 2 weeks.
Bills excluded (£245.2 per month, including cleaning)
