Large Double Room - Borough

Hi Everyone

I’m currently looking for someone to take over my room in a 3-bed flat as I’m moving out of London in August. Currently I am aiming to move out around the 9th-14th August when rent is due but happy to move this earlier if it suits both sides and references and checks are all complete in time.

We will aim to start viewings within the next few days but also into the end of next week due to housemates being away on holiday (A video call may be needed if one housemate is away to meet everyone).

Location:
Our flat is situated a 5 minute walk away from Borough station, 10 minutes to E&C and a 15 minute walk to both Waterloo and London Bridge. It is also close enough to walk into the City or towards Leicester Square and Soho way.
Borough Market and Bermondsey Street are also a short walk away with endless food and bar options to choose from.

The Flat:
It is a 3-bedroom flat situated on the second floor of a fairly new apartment block. It has a large kitchen and living room area that has a balcony with a view looking towards the city and the shard. Everything has been kept clean and in good condition and the landlady is responsive to any issues we have had while living here. It has a washer, dryer and dishwasher. It also has a large bathroom with both a shower and a bath. You would also only be sharing the bathroom with 1 other flatmate as the 3rd bedroom is an ensuite. We also hire a cleaner twice a month for the communal areas.

The Room:
The room is a large, clean and bright room. It comes with a double bed, 2 wardrobes, 2 chester drawers and I still have room for a big desk and to store 3 bikes inside the room. It has 2 large windows giving lots of light and a view of the shard from the room.

The Housemates:

I'm French and I've been living in London for the last 4 years, and currently working in green finance. I travel quite regularly back to Paris so you may find fresh pastries every now and then in the flat.

Outside of work, I enjoy cooking (always on the lookout for useless kitchen gadgets), playing volleyball or padel, or going to gigs.

I'm a Kiwi working in research management, with a passion for exploring Europe and spending my weekends bouldering. I enjoy discovering new places, staying active, and making the most of living abroad.

The New Housemate:
We would like someone who is sociable but also has their own life going on, similar age and likeminded working professional. We will often spend time together within the living room if all in at the same time, try to do a flat meal once a month as well as join each other to the cinema, play sport or other shared activities when free.

Boring bits:
Rent: £1,123 a month
Bills: Roughly £180 a month, bit cheaper in summer months and bit more in winter
Cleaner: £20 every 2 weeks
Deposit: 1 month rent and all protected.
Furniture: Everything in the bedroom is included apart from the desk
