Sunny double bedroom in an animal-friendly home

About me:
My name is Demi. I originally rented this lovely house in Abbey Wood with a friend, but he’s moving back home, and I’m now looking for a housemate to take his place; there’s no way I’m leaving this absolute gem.
- I’m a ’97 baby with a Scorpio Sun, Virgo Moon, and Aries Rising: if you know, you know.
- I’m a whimsical, academic, slightly hippie soul who likes to live in the moment. I’m undiagnosed but definitely neurospicy, with ADHD being my main flavour. I self-medicate with a bit of the devil's lettuce to keep me grounded.
- I am a youth justice officer, so my job is super intense and stressful, and can be very taxing emotionally. Sometimes I will come home and just want to not talk but that's me way of regulating. I do however, still want the company.
- I love animals and often end up rescuing animals if it comes to it. I believe kindness extends across species and try to spread it wherever I can.
- I share the home with my family dog Pluto (the white dog in the photos), who we’ve had since he was a pup and who turns 10 this August. We also have Blue, my tabby, who will be 3 in September, and as of 04/05/2026 my partner and I have welcomed two kittens. My partner visits frequently and brings his little Boston Terrier, Bunny.

I enjoy doing things myself and creating, so I’d love a housemate who’s into DIY and helping bring those Pinterest‑style ideas to life.

About the house:

- The garden is a sun trap. We’re required to maintain it as part of the tenancy, but gardening is one of my hobbies and I want to create an edible garden.

- The room is offered furnished, but the current furniture belonged to the previous tenant, so we can remove or replace anything you don’t want. The bed is currently a king size and takes up a lot of space, so if you own a bed, we can replace it.

- It’s a 10–15 minute walk to Abbey Wood station (Elizabeth Line, Southeastern, and the fast service to Luton Airport).

- There are plenty of buses nearby and it’s about a 10‑minute drive to Woolwich.

- The neighbourhood is lovely with friendly neighbours and a real community feel.

- The room gets beautiful golden hour light, it’s genuinely stunning.
