Description
We have a large double room available in our spacious, characterful house with a garden, in the leafy area of Bounds Green, and we're looking for the right person to join us.
The room can come furnished or unfinished. It already comes with huge wardrobes that also contain 3 large draws and there is shelving. There"s a possibility of the current bed to be bought off of the person leaving the room if you haven't got your own. Or we will sort out a double bed for you.
The house also benefits from a shared livingroom and an office that is free in the day if you need one to work from.
We're a small household of single professionals in our 40s and 50s (young at heart, very much used to London life), and we're looking for someone who wants a home, not just a room.
About us:
Ben is a joiner and bespoke furniture maker & John lives in a studio at the back of the house and works freelance setting up exhibitions - he's often away, as his fiancée is based in South Africa.
And I'm Sian, a fitness coach. I work in the city early doors so don't be surprised when you hear me say goodnight at 9pm.
You will share a bathroom with Ben & bills are around £170 p/month
We all lead busy, independent lives, but we genuinely enjoy the house we live in, whether that's a glass of wine when we're around, a chat in the corridor, or just the comfortable hum of shared living.
Oh, and I have a cat called Roland, he's a great cat and wins all cat haters over within 1 month ( tried and tested )😂 🐱
What we're looking for:
A single professional who is clean, tidy, and sociable (likes cats) - but equally values their own space and independence.
Someone who communicates well, feels at ease in a house share, and is looking for a household with warmth and a bit of personality.
Male or female — it just needs to be the right fit.
Getting around:
Bounds Green is brilliantly connected. You're a 10-minute walk from Bounds Green tube (Piccadilly line) and a 12-minute walk from Bowes Park station, plus plenty of bus routes into central London. A very easy commute.
The surrounding area has plenty of cafes, bars, a market on the last Sunday of every month on Myddleton Road and we are 5-10 mins walk away from Aldi, Tesco express and plenty of corner shops.
Ally Pally is also is not too far as well as the North Circular if you need access to the motorway.
If this sounds like your kind of place, we'd love to hear from you.
