30-something veggie seeking like-minded housemate

I'm on the search for a warm and friendly housemate to share my home with. Also open to Mon-Fri let's or short term.

About me:
I’m Natalya. I’ve lived in London most of my life and I'm in my mid-30s. I value a clean, tidy, calm and cosy home environment and would love to share a space with someone that’s like minded. I’m veggie and looking to live with other veggies/vegans (pescatarian okay too). Depending on the person, it would be lovely to cook meals together every once in a while. I work as an urban planner for a local council and work in the office most days except some Fridays. I'd prefer a housemate who similarly doesn't work from home so it remains a home environment and not an office!

In terms of my interests, I prefer simple wholesome activities - cooking, making art, sewing, playing keyboard, yoga, walks, swimming, cycling, exploring London, going to gigs and trying out new things.

I’d like to share with someone with a similar outlook on the world - someone who cares about people and the earth. I'm not looking for someone to just fill a room, so its really important to me that I'm sharing space with someone who I get along with and can have interesting conversations with when we're both home.

About the flat:
Its a 2 bedroom ground floor flat. The flat gets loads of natural light and sunshine and is very spacious. It has an open plan living/dining/kitchen area and a generous patio area that is south facing so is perfect in summer. It’s surrounded by a lot of greenery, so has a lovely outlook. Although its only a 10 min walk to the station it’s a very quiet and peaceful area. The room is a double bedroom, it’s currently only semi-furnished, but I am happy to get the furniture a future housemate requires (I used the room as a home office during the pandemic.)

The bedroom itself is spacious with plenty of room for a double bed and a desk should you wish. It has two windows so it gets lots of natural light, including an east facing window if you’re a morning person. You would have the main bathroom pretty much to yourself as my bedroom has an en-suite though I do enjoy the occasional bath. There is a parking space in a secure underground parking area a block away from the building, which you’d be welcome to use for an additional charge. Rent would be £1000pcm. Bills would be additional and I estimate will be around £150pcm (as gas and electric will be going up from January 2023 - the flat is in Council Tax Band D). This includes a fortnightly cleaner, cleaning products and loo roll subscription.

The area is fantastic with lots of green space and quiet, but well connected. The flat is literally on the doorstep of the Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park which is a wonderful space. Mile End Park is a short 10 min walk and the canal is just beyond that, which can take you down to the Thames or Victoria Park in around another 20 mins in either direction. There's plenty to do on the doorstep with Mile End Climbing Wall nearby, Mile End Park run on Saturdays, Victoria Park market on Sundays and lots of interesting community-based spaces like Poplar Union and the Yurt Cafe nearby.

The room could be available from early September, but I can be flexible on this (i. e. later), and the most important thing is finding a person who is the right fit to share the space with.
