Description

We’re hoping to find 1-2 new housemates for our lovely three-bedroom house! We are looking for people who share a like-minded approach to living together, with similar values and interests, and who are looking for a home rather than just a house. For us, a great flat share is built by friendly people who get on and who value communication, mutual consideration, and understanding. Ideally looking for someone in their 30s, but can be flexible for the right fit.

Room 1 will be available on 12 April, and there is a possibility that Room 2 will also become available roughly around the same date (TBC). We plan to begin viewings the first week of March.

A bit more about us:

Marleen (36): German, working full-time as a Project Manager and currently enrolled in a part-time Counselling course. In my free time, I love connecting with people, meditating, reading, going to plays/comedy shows/movies, spending time in nature, cycling, and taking classes (yoga, HIIT, pilates). I also enjoy the occasional fun night out dancing. I recently started learning Spanish, singing in a choir, and bouldering - I love discovering new activities and wholesome things to do in London.

Maria (36): Spanish/Colombian, human rights lawyer, based in London for 7 years. I’m a very active and social person but also really value my downtime. I love food, running, boxing, dancing in the kitchen, and gardening. There is a possibility that I may be moving out of London in April for a new job, which is why we are potentially advertising two rooms becoming available then.

About the house:
It’s a lovely, bright three-bedroom house with a spacious living room, large kitchen, two bathrooms, plenty of storage (including space for your bike), and a garden. There’s a bus stop right in front of the house connecting you to all your favourite spots in East London and into central London.

Public transport:
- Bow Road Station (District and Hammersmith & City lines): 10 min walk
- Mile End / Bethnal Green (Central line): 30 min walk or 15 min bus ride
- Hackney Wick (Overground Mildmay line): 10 min walk

Rent and bills:
The contract was signed for two years, currently about 1 year in. The total rent is £2,900 per month, split equally (£966 per person), as the rooms are roughly the same size. Bills are estimated at around £120 per month maximum in winter. The rooms come fully furnished, though some furniture may need to be bought off at a reasonable price from the current flatmates.

If this sounds aligned with your plans, we’d love to hear a bit about yourself and why you think you’d be a great fit!
