I have a double ensuite available for 1 person in a lovely new build flat in Bow available 22nd September (give or take 1 week).

The flat is in a secure complex with 24 hour concierge and bike storage and sits in a safe and quiet neighbourhood. We are really well connected with both Bow Road tube station and Bow Church DLR in under 10 mins walk and Mile End Tube station just 15 mins walk away. Close by is the beautiful Victoria Park as well as Roman Road which has a decent sized Tesco Express and a load of other great shops and cafes. It’s also a nice walk along the canals to both London Fields and Hackney Wick and all its fab pubs.

You’ll be living with me, Jodie - a 34 year old HR Manager originally from New Zealand. I am really lucky that my job is quite flexible so I travel a decent amount but when I am home I utilise Vic Park for running, hitting up the local markets & cuddling random dogs. My job is hybrid and I'm in the office 1 - 2 times a week depending on what's on. My job is pretty social so at home I am a bit more quiet & relaxed but always up for a good goss session especially with a gin.

The room is a good sized double with a built-in double wardrobe and a connected ensuite with shower (my bathroom is the main bathroom in the hall). The room comes with a queen sized bed and bedside cabinet. The flat is fully furnished and kept really clean and it's also super warm in the winter. We have a pretty standard letting agency that looks after all the day to day maintenance but I also have a great relationship with the landlord who is really friendly and accommodating.

The flat is really great & a bit of a bargain so typically it attracts quite a bit of interest when replacing outgoing flatmates. With that in mind, here are some answers to popular questions and important points to note:

I’ve lived here for 3 years and it's super important that the place is kept clean. You’ll need to be someone that maintains the clean and clutter free zone & is respectful of communal areas. It's probably obvious but it's definitely not a party flat.

The flat is fully furnished and although the room is a good size, if you have mountains of stuff or furniture you probably aren’t going to fit. If you want to walk into a fully established place then this is for you!

If you are a hybrid worker you’ll have to work in your bedroom when WFH as I do. Happily, the room easily fits a desk.

Sorry but no couples - the flat gets a bit crowded with 3 and also the landlord doesn’t allow them.

Current rent pm: £827.50
Bills pm: Approx £150
Important to note that the lease renews in Feb 2025 and the landlord has already alerted me that there will be a rent increase of approx £140 per person when it renews.

Also you will need to be earning a minimum of £30k and pass the agency's reference checks.
