Description
~ Please note this listing is for females only ~
*The room*
Freshly painted, spacious and with plenty of light, it has a lovely view onto the canal.
It’s currently furnished with a new double bed and a built-in wardrobe, you’re welcome to bring in your own furniture - if you don’t have any, the landlord is happy to purchase a bedside table and a small desk. The en-suite bathroom is a decent size, with a nice shower and plenty of storage space.
*The house*
A big Victorian building, full of character and light, with high ceilings and period features. We have a very spacious lounge/dining room facing onto Victoria Park at the front and Regent’s Canal at the back.
The house is split on 3 floors:
1st – lounge/dining room, hall & kitchen
2nd – bathroom & 2 bedrooms
3rd – your room with en-suite
*Your housemates*
You will be sharing with Christine, who’s been living here since December 2021, and Maria, who’s been here since May 2023.
Christine - A freelance writer, designer and all round creative person! She loves live comedy, the local sauna, ecstatic dance, binge watch series and cooking.
Maria - I’m Italian and have been living in London for over 10 years. I work in localisation for a fashion brand and usually WFH around 3 days a week. I’m a huge bookworm, and in my free time I do a lot of reading/writing/drawing. I love walking, swimming, travelling, languages, and consider the house my peaceful retreat.
*You*
We’re looking for someone who’s considerate, kind and respectful, we’re not a party house and would ideally share with professionals in their mid-30s-40s, although we’re open to younger/older people as long as they’re a good fit.
We are looking for someone who is part in the office and doesn’t WFH full time.
We’re not obsessed with cleaning but really value a tidy and clean environment so looking for someone who feels the same. Also, we both love plants!
*The landlord*
We have a private landlord who’s lovely and very responsive, and really cares about the house. We have lovely neighbours with whom we share a WhatsApp group, everyone is friendly and happy to lend a hand (or DIY tool!) when needed.
*The fine print*
The rent is £900 pcm to be paid directly to the landlord.
The deposit is £900 which will be put in a government-approved tenancy deposit scheme.
The bills are around £160 pcm. We’ve also got a cleaner who comes every 2 weeks, and we take it in turns to pay her (an additional £45 each).
If this sounds like a fit, drop us a message and tell us a bit about yourself.
We’ll be doing viewings on Wednesday 30th in the evening and Saturday 2nd in the morning.
