Description
I’m looking for a housemate to join me in our 2 bed flat 1 bathroom from 23rd November onwards.
Admin:
Free from 23rd November so looking for someone in by 1 December:
The double room is £1050pcm and rent is paid on the 20th of the month (for transparency I pay less for the smaller room!)
Bills are around £150pcm per person (council tax, energy, water, tv licence and WiFi)
Deposit is £870.
The lease is fixed term until 19 August 2026. Break clause 2 months notice from 20th August 2025.
Double Room:
1 person only, no couples sorry)
The room currently has a triple floor to ceiling Ikea wardrobe that is mirrored and built into the room. Please ignore the mess
Carpeted
My housemate is leaving the UK so is happy to leave behind/sell all the furniture currently in the room.
There’s currently double bed and mattress, large desk, monitors, desk chair, bedside table and leaning shelf.
The bedroom is south-facing and faces the courtyard rather than the tube station. Back from the main road so quite quiet other than neighbours/
Location:
Right next to Bow Road station (1min walk).
Mile End is an 8min walk,
Bow Church DLR 6min walk.
Local Tescos, Sainsbury’s, Coop and Asda all within 5-10mins walking distance
About me:
I’m a 28yo civil servant and I work in the office full time, so it would be lovely to find another working professional. Would be great to find someone who would like to hang out together in the flat/at the pub, but also respectful of each other’s space!
My room’s small so I spend a lot of time in the living room. Vegetarian, LGBTQ+ friendly! Lived in London since university, originally from the North West.
The flat:
2nd floor flat - no lift in the building.
Most of the stuff you’ll see in the flat is mine (TV, furniture, decoration) so will stay - so will suit someone who doesn’t have huge amount of stuff! The flat is partially furnished (sofa etc) so there are some things in the flat we can’t remove.
Dishwasher, Washing Machine (no dryer). Bathroom is shower only (no bath).
No pets
Courtyard for parking
Not great for bikes - there is a gated area to store bikes but this isn’t covered and isn’t the most secure (we don’t have bikes) and flat is too small to have bike inside unfortunately.
