Description
Hi everyone,
My flatmate is moving back to Scotland (after 2 years of living together) so I'm looking for someone to move into her room in the new year!
The flat itself is on the raised ground floor and has a semi open plan kitchen/living room and one shared bathroom (just a shower). It has a couple of good selling points for a shared flat - 1) It's actually a duplex so your bedroom (and the office) is on the first floor so our bedrooms are on separate floors on opposite sides of the flat, which feels very private. 2) There's a shared office which I would only need 1 day week, so great for anyone who works from home. We also use it for drying washing and it fits a blow up single bed which has come in handy for the odd visitor!
The flat is pretty well furnished so might not suit someone who is coming with a lot of their own stuff (but I'm always happy to see what we can do!)
I've never had any problems with the landlord and he's always responsive whenever we've had issues (which have been minor). He'll require you to pass financial referencing and 5 weeks deposit is needed (as is standard).
I like to think I'm very well versed in housemate etiquette and am really good friends with the people I've lived with (most of whom have been through SpareRoom!) Its not a party flat and I'm hoping to find someone who wants to treat it more as a quiet place to come back to - that being said I love the occasional dinner party! I'm in my mid 30's, employed and pretty low key and it would be great to find someone similar. The flat's always kept quite clean and tidy - though not normally as festively decorated as the pictures show!
I think I'm pretty standard in the things I like and can pretty much chat to anyone about anything. Always up for a pint at the pub, love a Netflix binge and chatting about books. My friends would tell you I'm a Swifite but please don't hold that against me!
Location wise, we've got the tube and DLR literally moment away so pretty well connected. The flats also about a 20 minute walk to Victoria Park.
No couples please.
Happy to answer any questions - more pics to come I just wanted to get the main ones up asap!
Also, it should go without saying but LGBTQ+ friendly.
Probably not a fit to those on the far right of the political spectrum however.
Thanks so much!
Abbie
(Also just as an fyi - the chair in the living room is being replaced with a very neutral love seat)
