Hello! Saana and I (28F and 29M) have a spare room available in a modern three bed flat, complete with a free 24hr residents only gym, a spacious rooftop garden, and uninterrupted views of both Canary Wharf and the City from a large corner balcony. Additionally, there is a 24hr concierge team for deliveries, a security team, and underfloor heating. We are located a five minute walk from two separate stations (H&C, District, and DLR lines), meaning only a 20 minute train to the City, and a 10 minute train to either Canary Wharf or Stratford, and a 15 minute walk to Victoria Park.
A little about the flat:
- The rent is £875 per month, and the bills (not included) average between £120-150 per month for everything.
- The available room (3.11m x 2.12m/10ft x 7ft) comes furnished with a double bed, a wardrobe, bedside cabinet, mirror, and a large drawer. The room would share a bathroom with one other flatmate, which includes large cupboard storage space, and a bath/shower.
- The flat is situated in a quiet area, with a Sainsburys Local built into the flat complex (open until 11pm, 7 days a week), a 10 minute walk to a Tesco Superstore, the GP/chemist is directly over the road, and Santander Cycle station is just outside the front door for any health conscious commuters among us. There’s a couple of great local pubs and coffee shops nearby (and a 24/7 McDonalds just around the corner…)
- Additionally, there is a surprising amount of storage, including two very large cupboards in the hall, up to 3 large kitchen cupboards per flatmate, and a large third cupboard space in the bathroom.
A little about us:
- Saana and I both work in law, and have been friends for years having met through work. We enjoy the occasional drink after work and on weekends, wandering around museums/galleries, music, art, and the odd movie/games night.
- Saana is a trained mixologist and sommelier (so drinks are taken care of), and I drink them. I also practice the guitar and piano (with headphones, as without them, you would also need one of Saana’s drinks…)
- Our working hours can mean a lot of late nights in the office, so you may well have the flat to yourself some evenings (perfect for those who enjoy their own space to cook or binge a series in the living room).
The flat is available immediately, and we will be hosting viewings throughout January (ideally looking to find someone before the end of the month, but also totally fine if you can’t move in until February/March). We are ideally looking for a young professional who is keen to join a friendly flat, and who doesn’t mind the occasional WFH or questionable 4/10 humour.
