Description
Hey! I’m Joe, and I’m looking for a new flatmate as my best friend (and current housemate) is moving up north.
The flat is in Bow, East London — spacious, furnished, on the top floor, with high ceilings, central heating, double glazing, and loads of natural light. The available furnished double room comes with:
• King-size bed & mattress with storage drawers underneath
• Two double wardrobes, and two single wardrobes (connected into one unit)
• Your own large private bathroom right across from your room (only shared to air laundry and store towels/bedding)
The flat also has:
• A large lounge with two comfy sofas, dining table, and 55" 4K Sky Glass UHD TV (Sky Cinema included; sports can be added at a cost)
• A separate kitchen with modern appliances (dishwasher, microwave, oven, gas hob, American-style fridge/freezer, air fryer, filtered hot/chilled water)
• A big private terrace with garden furniture, parasol, and BBQ
• A fortnightly cleaner (incl. bed linen change)
• On-street parking nearby
• Fibre optic broadband
Rent & bills
• Approx £1,050pcm (waiting to hear about any rent rise from landlord) + bills (usually around £275pcm)
• Council Tax Band C
• Deposit + first month’s rent required upfront
Transport
A 3 minute walk to Bow Church DLR, and a 7 minute walk to Bow Road tube. 12 minute walk to Mile End tube. Bus routes 8, D8, 25, N25, 205, N205, 276, 425 and 488 stop right outside. It’s also only a 1-minute walk from the nearest Santander cycle docking station.
About me
I’m originally from Cornwall, have lived in London for over 10 years (in this flat for 7), and work in government affairs for the world’s largest live entertainment and ticketing company (so tickets to free gigs come around often!) I work from home 2–3 days a week, and I enjoy a mix of heading out to see friends and exploring London, attending events, visiting attractions etc, but I also love a quiet night in. I love pop culture, but I’m also into politics, current affairs, and play padel occasionally.
I’m a gay man and prefer living with women (LGBT+ or straight) who are easygoing, sociable, but respectful of space. I'd love to hang out together in and outside the flat sometimes, so I'm looking for a new friend as much as a new flatmate.
Important: Leo the cat 🐾
Leo is my friendly Maine Coon/Ragdoll cross — affectionate, sassy, and involved in everything. You’ll need to be a cat lover and comfortable with him having free rein of the flat (except your room). I travel a bit so would appreciate you keeping an eye on him (just food/water needed) while I’m away. I’m open to flatmates with small dogs if they get along with him — and I’d be happy to look after them while you’re away too!
If this sounds like a good fit, drop me a message telling me a bit about yourself!
