Hello! I’m looking for a flatmate for 9 months from early/mid November until July 31st 2026 to join me in a beautiful two-storey house in Bow, East London. I’ve been living here with my parter for the last two years, and am looking for someone to take over the tenancy from her while she spends some time working out of the country.

The house is absolutely lovely, with wooden floors throughout and lots of light, and we’ve even got a large garden with a table and chairs and flowerbeds! The house is fully furnished, and should have most things you’ll need, including a fully-equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, and great internet. You’ll get the master bedroom with a double bed + mattress and lots of storage space, and there is room to add a desk. I know the landlord quite well and he’s great; always sorts problems very quickly.

In terms of transport, we’re less than 10 minutes away from Bow Road and Bromley-by-Bow tube stations (Hammersmith and City and District lines), and just one stop away from Mile End (Central line). If you get the timings right, you can be in Liverpool Street in 20 minutes from the front door. We’re also only 5 minutes away from Bow Church DLR station with connections to Stratford, Canary Wharf and Greenwich. There’s a huge Tesco about 10 mins walk away and a great local gym just around the corner (City Hustle). The street is very quiet, but close by to Bow Road (cafes and pubs) and not too far from Victoria Park.

About me, I’m a 30-year-old professional and a big outdoors person who enjoys running, learning German and trying to cook vegetarian food. It’s a tidy, well kept home, so ideal for someone who wants a lovely space to unwind and relax. I enjoy hosting guests and having people over for dinner, taking breaks while working from home, and going on pub trips. At the same time, a peaceful atmosphere at home is important to me, as I lead an active life with work, socialising and travel out of the house. The rent is £1200 pcm + bills. These are £57 for council tax (band B), £30-45 for gas and electricity (depending on the month), £17.5 for fibre internet and £18-25 for water.

From the Landlord’s side, the contract will be fixed-term until July 31st, and the background check requires proof of income of 3x the rent. No smokers.
