Description
Hello Londoners!
My room in a premium 4-story Victorian terrace house is becoming available from 29th October. There is some flexibility for a later move in, but the earlier the better. I have to leave due to personal circumstances and am sad to part with such a gem of a home.
The People & Vibe
You’ll be living with 3 wonderful professional adults (2 Italians, 1 German). There is a shared interest in keeping the space comfortable and tidy, a place you enjoy calling home and return to from a busy and fun day in the big smoke. We love to cook, watch telly, tend to our garden (work in progress), music (one of us is a talented saxophonist who practices sometimes), and visit the local pub from time to time. As usual, everyone is busy and leading an independent life, but we do enjoy each other’s cheerful & respectful company.
The Flat
…is amazing! Honestly. Spread over 4 floors:
- Top (2nd) floor: your room (comes with a bed, a built-in wardrobe and a large wall-mounted TV) + another bedroom.
- 1st floor: an ensuite bedroom + bathroom with a tub and waterfall showerhead (normally shared by you and 1 other person - reno work on the other communal bathroom is just wrapping up).
- Ground floor (where you enter the flat): another bedroom
- Lower ground floor: leading into the large garden, this floor includes a big kitchen fit for avid cooks, a lounge area and a utility room (washing machine) + bathroom with a shower (currently in the very last stages of renovations).
The flat is in great condition, with underfloor heating in the lower ground floor + bathrooms. There is also an attic where you can store some of your things.
Transport Links & Surroundings
Max. 7 minute walk to Bow Road (District and H&S line) and 5 minutes to Bow Church (DLR).
The flat is situated in a quiet cul de sac with lovely neighbours who have lived here for a long time. Victoria Park and Roman Road are a 20-min walk away, and there is a big Tesco nearby.
Boring & Important Bits
The monthly rent is £900 and bills (energy, council tax, Internet, water) differ by season, but come up to about £150 in the cold months. Each person pays for a different bill and we use Splitwise to share the costs.
I did my best to include all the important details, but please let me know if you have any questions. If you are interested in the room, please send us a short message that gives us an idea of who you are and what you’re looking for in a house share. We prefer people who are in stable employment and are looking to stay long-term :-)
