Description
Welcome to Hewlett Road! My name is Bash, and I'm looking for a professional flatmate to share a gorgeous period house in Bow, starting late January (flexible move-in date).
I work in advertising by day, and in my spare time run a queer history podcast. I am an insufferable nerd, but also not a loser. It's a special combination.
About me: Very chill and friendly, originally from New York, now based in London. Travel a lot, often to France. Speak French pretty well in fact, as well as English. Love books, history, pubs, running, tennis, and all the other things literally everyone in London loves.
I am the only other tenant in the house, and am *only* looking to live with one, single additional tenant. No couples please.
Now that we've been introduced, let's get on with the show.
*THE ROOM IS BIG, THE HOUSE IS CHIC*
💷 Rent: £1500 per month, due 22 of each month
🛌 Room: Master bedroom, fits king-size bed, first floor, giant storage system
🛁 Bathrooms: one shared bathroom with toilet, bath, shower upstairs
🛋️ Shared spaces: big living room + dining room, very large kitchen with breakfast nook
👔 Working from home: dining room is available to you for WFH on remote days; I work from the small office/podcast studio upstairs.
🏡 Large garden: currently has table and chairs, and lots of lovely pots if you like gardening
*THE AREA IS QUIET BUT POPPIN*
🌿 5 mins walk from stunnning Victoria Park
🛍️ 30 secs from Roman Road with great boutiques, supermarkets, corner shops, lovely pubs
🚲 Lime bikes readily available every AM
🚌 No. 8 bus stops right outside (15-20 mins to Liverpool St Station)
🚇 10 mins walk to Mile End tube stop (Central, Hammersmith & City, District Lines) to get into town
*THE BILLS WE SPLIT*
We split all bills equally (fees below are per person per month)
Total per person: £175.50
Gas/Electric (Octopus Energy): £58
Superfast 1GB Virgin Broadband: £20
Water: £5.50
Council Tax: £92
[Council Tax Band: E]
*MY IDEAL TENANT*
You will be looking for a long-term situation and you will have a full-time job (freelance OK). You will work from home sometimes but not all the time.
You will be chill and normal, clean and respectful, and with any luck, LGBTQ+ (or at least extremely down with the gays).
You and I will meet, vibe, and make sure we can communicate openly. You will move in and soon we will go out to the pub, and maybe even some day, host a party together in the fabulous backyard.
You will be social and open and curious, and your politics will not say "Moderate" or "Conservative" on Hinge (sorry I do not make the rules).
You will travel frequently - as I do - so that we each get the house to ourselves once in a while.
You will be fun, caring, kind, and we will get on like a house on fire (this is a metaphor - do NOT light our house on fire).
If ANY of this sounds like you, or you like the sound of me, hit me up.
