We have 3 double rooms available in our house in Shoreditch, just 30 seconds from Brick Lane. The rooms will be available from 15th November, as my current housemates are moving out at the end of the tenancy to live with friends/partners elsewhere.
Contracts
We’ll be signing a 12-month contract, so we’re looking for people who want a long-term home for at least a year. You’ll need to be able to supply references and a UK-based guarantor, so please only apply if that’s possible.
We’re looking for young professionals rather than students.
Rent (based on room size):
• Large room (third floor, front – 15’ x 7’7”): £953 + £105 bills
• Medium room (third floor, rear – 9’3” x 9’3”): £876 + £105 bills
• Smaller room (second floor, rear – 10’6” x 8’9”): £853 + £105 bills
Bills come to around £105 a month each.
The deposit is split evenly between us, so it’ll be £906 in total, payable before signing the contract.
Housemate
I’m David – I have lived here since October 2024. We have been blessed with a cosy haven in the centre of Shoreditch, so I would very keen to sign up to another year.
I spend my time running (particularly parkrun), swimming and doing yoga. I work in public affairs for a net zero nonprofit. I am a hybrid-worker (WFH Monday/Wednesday/Friday) and hoping there would be healthy mix of office/homework from new housemates.
You’ll be joining a new group of housemates (to be confirmed) – the flat works well for friendly, clean and respectful people who enjoy living in a relaxed home environment.
This hasn’t been a party house, but I’m not opposed to predrinks/trips to the pub as the occasion arises!
The house
The property is a spacious, four-bedroom, split-level maisonette spread across three floors of a period building. It’s right on Cheshire Street, seconds from Brick Lane and about 5 minutes from Shoreditch High Street Overground. Old Street, Bethnal Green, Whitechapel and Aldgate East are all under 20 minutes’ walk.

• Fully fitted kitchen with access to a rear-facing balcony
• Tiled bathroom
• Gas central heating
