Description
Hello!
I’m Hannah, and I’m looking for someone to take the second room in my fully-furnished, airy, modern flat on a side street just off Brick Lane from 1 December as my current flatmate is moving out.
The flat is within walking distance of the following stations:
Aldgate East (7 min)
Whitechapel (10 min)
Liverpool Street (15 min)
The double bedroom is west-facing with large windows for plenty of natural light. The room has a double bed, chest of drawers, wardrobe and tall mirror. If you work from home, there is a work desk in the living room, which can also fit into the bedroom if you’d prefer. The flat has all the standard appliances such as a modern electric kitchen hob, toaster, microwave, washing machine, dish washer, modern shower and separate WC.
Costs per month:
Rent: £900
Council tax: £62
Water: £30.30
Gas/Electric: £52.91
Internet: £12.50
A bit about me – I’m 29, American, but I’ve spent most of the last 10 years in London. I manage an academic department at a drama conservatoire and work from home three days per week. I’m out most evenings either at yoga or seeing friends. I tend to stick to a regular routine during the week and aim to wind down fairly early in the evenings. I go back and forth between busier and quieter weekends, but I like to keep pretty active.
I love yoga (technically a yoga teacher), museums, theatre, reading, films, restaurants, and cooking, and make an effort to enjoy what London has to offer. While I have my own life in London, I'm definitely up for sharing a meal occasionally and creating a warm, friendly atmosphere at home.
I love living in this flat, and I’m looking for an easygoing, respectful flatmate to keep it a peaceful, laid-back environment. I enjoy chatting in the kitchen in the evenings, but I also appreciate having time to myself, especially after work. I like to keep communal areas tidy and am happy to contribute to chores - I’d say I’m clean, but not rigid, and I'm looking for someone who is also willing to work together to keep the flat clean and tidy. I respect other people’s boundaries and moods and understand that people’s energy can vary from day to day. I love cooking for friends and hosting dinner parties occasionally, but I tend to do most of my socialising outside the flat - I like home to be a calm, cosy place. Looking for someone who likes to live similarly.
Please message if you’d like to arrange a viewing, and let me know a bit about yourself.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
