I have currently got a built in wardrobe, a clothes rail, a large desk, armchair and footsool, large tv stand, 2 sets of drawers a bedside table AND a double bed and it's by no means crowded. Its a massive, great value room.
A bit about the house: It is a 2 story, 3 bedroom/2 bathroom upper flat just off the lower end of Brixton Hill.
On the first floor there is a bedroom room, shared living room and separate kitchen.
On the second floor, there is the remaining two bedrooms including the available room, large bathroom with shower and separate shower room with a toilet.
(It's great! I've been here two years and I have never had to queue for the bathroom in the morning).
Housemates: Two friendly northern girls. Who work Monday - Friday in central/city. It’s great to be able to come home and chill and have a chat over a cup of tea, glass of wine or dinner but we are respectful of others space.
The house is run by a management company, who are great! They come back straight away. Last year they replaced our oven within 2 days and just recently they repaired our hot water tank. I cannot fault them.
Location: great location right off Brixton Hill, about 5-7 minute walk to Brixton station and all the shops/restaurants/cinema/pubs there. Bus stop right outside at the end of the road which has buses that go directly into Central, City and East London. Also Brixton Train station is close by.
The house is also a 5 minute walk to the beautiful Brockwell Park and about a 15 minute walk to Clapham Common. Both are great in Summer!
Sainsburys on Brixton Hill is less than 5 minutes. There is also a big Tesco and Lidl around the corner.
Bills: rent is £792 per month which does not include bills. With bills (including 2x cleaner per month who is fantastic) total comes to £870 - £880 per month. There is a security deposit of 5 weeks rent due at lease signing.
