Description
Hey!
We're Adam, Anoushka, Anna and Esme and we're delighted to offer you a spacious, well-lit double room on Brixton Hill.
I (Adam) just got offered a place at Point Blank Music School in Haggerston. I genuinely considered commuting an hour each way, each day to school because I currently live with three genuine, interesting, and kind people. Anna, Anoushka, and Esme have grown to become close friends of mind over the past year we've been living together because they are independent but sociable, tidy but relaxed, and have always had my back. We've made a flatshare into a home and the only reason I'm leaving is to pursue my career in music.
In our own words:
Hey! I'm Esme, a freelance artist / cake decorator who likes visiting art galleries, baking cakes, having picnics, going to pubs and dancing in sweaty clubs xx
Hey! I'm Anoushka, a 24-year old auditor who enjoys reading, watching TV, playing and/or listening to music, cooking and also playing the occasional video game.
Hey! I'm Anna, a 28-year old Civil Servant who likes to bake, read, go to art galleries and explore new areas of London. I enjoy cute nights in the flat, watching films and am also up for drinks and having a dance :)
We're also flexible on the move-in date: you could move in between 1 Nov and 1 Dec if Adam's move happens at a similar time!
You'd be living in a:
- Large, fully furnished double room
- Which comes with a double bed, triple wardrobe, chest of drawers and a desk if the room Adam takes also has a desk. (perfect for working from home!). *The room is the master bedroom on the floor plan, which has the exact dimensions.
- The room is actually extremely well lit because it's south facing, which really helps in the winter. I am working super hard atm so had to take the photos at night and if it's a matter for concern I'll host a video call to show you how well it's lit during the day.
As for the location:
The flat is a 10-minute walk from Brixton station (on the super quick Victoria Line) and a similar distance to London parks like Brockwell Park or Clapham Common. Brixton is one of the most popular places for young people to live in London because it's vibrant, really well connected, and has some terrific restaurants. The nightlife is lit: you have Brixton Village, and several clubs and bars within a 15-minute walk from our flat, which makes getting home so convenient, and also means we don't have to travel too much for nights out with our mates.
The flat has a fully equipped communal kitchen, two bathrooms (each with showers), a good sized living room and the added bonus of a covered balcony with a sofa on it, which makes for a great sun trap. There is also a parking space once you apply for a permit!
You can store your bike on the balcony if you have one, or like many neighbours you can leave it downstairs in the stairwell!
As well as our private balcony, we have a large shared garden which is perfect for BBQs and drinks.
Bills are not included in the rent and are currently relatively cheap at around £50-60 a month. This will change as the cost of living crisis kicks in.
An added bonus is how friendly the neighbours are in the block. We've had some memorable dinners and parties with the flats opposite and downstairs. Adam hosts a hip hop club with one of our neighbours, and also gets on really well with one the tenants living upstairs.
The flat is rented through Foxtons, but we mostly deal with the lovely property manager who is very quick to respond to requests and fix/replace anything required. They have replaced our beds and hoover, changed light fittings, and fixed sockets over the past year at no cost to us. They are pretty chill.
If you see yourself living in a spacious, extremely well priced room, in a great area with wonderful people, you should drop us a message!
